Bucketlist

Recommended Posts

It's an odd one because I feel I've seen all the artists that I truly adore, that leaves bands I like and wouldn't mind seeing, doe's that count?  Or am I over thinking this lol.

If it does then the list is very long....which is cool because there's always gigs to look forward to.

But the best of the rest would be:-

blur
natalie merchant
arcade fire
foals
L7
levellers
sleater-kinney
the decemberists
the go go's
bleached

I'm definitely with you on Natalie Merchant. Fantastic voice and songs - and I reckon her last album might be the best she's ever done.

She was touring recently, I think, but tickets seemed to be massively expensive. I presume she tours with a lot of musicians, maybe even an orchestra these days, given those prices....

Spiritualised

Super Furry Animals

Out of ones mentioned by previous posters I've seen Pulp and Blur.

I think GWAR would be fun to see live if they're still around lol

Did you not go when we saw these at De Mont Uni?

artists/bands I haven't seen yet and want to see live:

Pulp, Suede, Stereophonics, Beck, eels, Arcade Fire, Radiohead

Saw Beck at Rock City just after Odelay was released.....he had better moves than Michael Jackson

Also saw Stereophonics at The Charlotte in front of about 100 people

Of those I'd like to see

The Smiths (never going to happen)

QOTSA

SFA

Janes Addiction

from the ones I'll never be able to see:

The Kinks: saw the Konks tribute band in Muswel Hill (Clissold Arms)

The Beatles: saw Paul McCartney solo as well as the Rabeats (tribute band)

The Ramones: saw a very good tribute band

Dire Straits: saw a good tribute band and Mark Knopfler solo

The Smiths: saw Morrissey solo

The Clash: saw Paul Simonon with Damon Albarn's The Good the bad and the queen

Not sure that Navarro is back in the fold. He had long covid and had to sit the last tour out. Eric Avery's finally reconciled his differences with Farrell - so it's almost the classic line up again.

Saw him play with guns n Roses at Leeds festival in 2000 I think it was, sure it was their first gig back in the UK since they split. They didn't do reading that year, either, just leeds, they were good. Axl sounded loads better than he does now.

Oasis

Kasabian back with Tom.

have seen Liam G solo and original Kasabian numerous times, as well as Kasabian with Serge at DMU when they played their a few years back.

But a Vicky Park original Kasabian greatest hits gig would sell 100,000 i reckon

Had The Chemical Brothers on my list for about 25-years and finally saw them in Birmingham the other week.

Think Portishead is the other big one I’ve left to do.

I had tickets to see Low but one half of them died just a few weeks beforehand.

Warpaint, Four Tet, Run The Jewels, Pixies and Young Fathers on the next tier.
