Still gets me that Harry ****ing Winks is 28.

I feel old.

I’ve always thought of him as in my peer group age wise. Just did a reality check though and realised I’m old enough to be his dad!

He has a reasonable chance of playing for England again, Phillips and Henderson keep getting caps - latter is 34 in the summer and not to mention shit

We’ve had plenty of players called up over the past 10 years, only Vardy can be aggrieved he didn’t play more

you must be from a parallel universe, did we win the league there too?

You can see on his face after goals and wins how much he's enjoying his time now.  He's like a big kid - it's great to see.

A lot of people on this forum laughed or cried at his signing by us, but he's been sensational, undroppable...

No chance whilst Southgate is there. Current form and quality doesn't come into it, you've got to have achieved favourite status. Does anyone for example think that Rashford, Henderson and Philips will be left out of the squad?

No but it didn’t stop someone like James Justin being capped whilst a Leicester player and we firmly mid table at the time

Love the guy but not good enough and if he was he would not be at Leicester in the championship....love my club and him but I stand by my comment unfortunately

Fairly certain that's down to the fact "Chilly B" and Shaw are made of glass, dirth of good English LBs of recent years, to the point where they called up a RB (Justin). I'd argue Leicester players are overlooked! Maddison the key example of someone who had to be literally exceptional even to be considered which was bizarre when you consider who GS was picking over him.

Championship players don't usually get picked for England. Steve Bull did I think when he was in Div 2. Argument against picking a championship player is they are not competing against the best week in week out.
