TBF to Jon today that question should never have been asked to Vardy. That’s a fan asking a question over a professional. The guy lost the plot at that stage and wet his knickers. He went from chatting to MA to completely alienating him in the hunt for validation from Vardy.

I know we all want the answer but that tannoy guy should know better, definitely should’ve been briefed not to ask anything of the sort at your own club event and without doubt should be in for a bollocking tomorrow for drawing such attention to it.

Mad how such an event can go so wrong for the club but then we do have a tendency for zero planning and then trying to recover and backtrack whatever we do.

As always, Premier League on the pitch, League one elsewhere.

I think Vardy’s probably feeling a bit bitter towards some of the hierarchy in the club, I don’t think he’s getting his own way with contract negotiations and I’d put good money on some of his behaviour yesterday being influenced by that, such as the public calling out of Rudkin.

I think it’s fair to say Top will most likely intervene and ensure it’s sorted. Realistically I hope his new deal is more around £70-75k mark with performance incentives and then a bonus payment if we stay up. Plus he will probably pocket a very decent signing on fee as well. I am sure it will be done and dusted over the next few days.

I think we all know what Vardy is like and obviously has a huge standing in the football club , so he probably thinks he can behave how we wants without being pulled up on it. Was a bit uncalled for swearing at Dan bates like that, but he is what he is.

It's obviously not a major trophy but there's still nothing quite like winning a trophy, and a nice looking one at that. At the same time of course, it doesn't negate from the fact that relegation was completely avoidable.

Dan and Vardy know each other. Sure everything will be fine.

At a rough guess I'd suspect Dan Bates reads this site, as part of his job if nothing else.

I hope Dan knows that a lot of people felt the comment from Vards was in poor taste and enjoy that  he's filming it for us on our behalf, not for himself nor Vards.

It's a mini lesson for us all I guess in the old phrase 'never meet your heroes'

Am I the only one who took Vardys comment about being up to Rudkin as tongue in cheek and more of a wind up to get a reaction from the crowd?

The more I think about it the more I think it's just some kind of running joke or they actually just know how badly Rudkin is perceived. Vardy is a showman and loves playing up to the crowd, he's done exactly that.

Or he also believes Rudkin is a tw@t and that's equally viable lol

Would have been great to have a camera on Rudkin at that point lol

The thing is, even KDH last week emphasised that his “intention” was to stay and it was “clear” what his intention was. Perhaps a bit subtle then our Vards but maybe reason for the emphasis.

It was pretty clear that the players, along as the back room staff last year didn’t expect relegation. Footballers sometimes are not the brightest but waking up a Championship player when you’re repeatedly told a bad season is mid-table gets many questioning the management.

Rudkin has little to no respect outside the club. I suspect, in some quarters (ie the football side) he’s seen as the ultimate useless middle manager.

They will already have put deals in principal in place with agents at this stage. There’s no agent in this day and age that is going to hang around and possibly leave their client without a club.

Agree as soon as he said it he was looking for eye contact with Rudkin. Enzo said on a video that a contract/proposal was with Vardy already.

The last point is spot on. I'm sure others who know some, or have personally met, our other legends wouldn't be so positive about them and their behaviour.

I think most fans love the footballer and not necessarily the man.

I love both, if he changed he wouldn't have become the player he was. Too many people want to be offended these days, yes I agree he was aggressive towards the guy with the phone but we've all said things we shouldn't after a few drinks.

Yeah agreed he was being mischivious. There is a lot of confirmation bias going on.not sure how people can listen to that and read that Vardy hates rudkin etc.

The more you hear about it all the funnier it gets.

The fact that the delay in the morning was because the parade almost didn't go ahead due to the first bus (converted lorry) being illegal.

It seems that the whole world and his dog has had their say on this weekends events ranging from terrible to fantastic. Im not going to repeat what has been posted, just that I fall somewhere in the middle. The KP stadium resembled the exodus from Egypt on Saturday. But I do have to talk about Vardy. Yes he is the GOAT. We all love him. We are fortunate to have had such a player stay  at our club for so long. But yesterday his behaviour was not acceptable of someone of such high standing and regard. Swearing at a young man who was doing his job was disgraceful. The guy with the camera deserves an apology and whose memory of the day is being verbally abused by our greatest player. Some of you find that funny. I do not. Being a GOAT also involves how you treat people off the pitch as well as playing on it. My second point is that he actively encouraged his young daughter to say **** off to a large audience.  Can you imagine Rowley, Chandler, Black and Lineker doing that?. You may be class on the pitch Jamie but yesterday you were full on Chav off it.

I will sign off on a positive though, Well done lads for bringing home yet another trophy. It was a hard slog but you came out on top. Another great memory to add to my aging brain to enjoy, store and then retrieve in future years when I am old and dirty.

Good post. part of me agrees with you the other part of me thinks what do you expect?

This is the same bloke who racial abused someone at a casino, who ended up on tag for violence who has on more than one occasion threw a career threatening two footed tackle at opponents. He has never asked to be a role model. I don't like the word but part of his appeal is that he is a chav, he is your working class white van man playing the game as the supporters think it should be played winding opposition players and fans up along the way.

His behaviour didn’t ‘offend’ me, it was more second hand embarrassment.

He just seemed a pretty unpleasant bloke…which he probably is.

What a player though.

It was only last week he told a Preston fan who was giving him grief to shut up you tramp, and then scored and celebrated in front of him no one complained then. When he's gone, we'll end up with another trained robot with no personality like most footballers are now, at least we have all these moments to look back on

Annoyed I missed yet another parade! Had a family thing yesterday, FA cup didn't happen with COVID and I was away at uni for the last championship/premier league win. One day I'll be there! lol

But what I hope it does show to the players/management what it means to the fans and the people of Leicestershire will back them like royalty if they deliver
