Don’t think he’d join us knowing we will be in a relegation fight.

Moyes can see our potential, he would join us imo if offered the job.

I know I have said it before, but half of those names on this list won’t touch us with a barge pole. Especially as we don’t know the size of the points deduction we are facing. No manager with a semi decent reputation will agree to take a job where they are starting off with -8 points. Especially if as rumored, we  will be penny pinching this window..

This is why I think this will be dragged out. Why would a manager commit to a team that could get a -6 deduction or -15 for example, walking into a doomed season. The only ones who would take that would be desperate managers and I absolutely want to avoid them at all costs.
I expect most managers will wait out for the punishment before committing, especially if they are already at a club.
The point deduction will also massively change our approach, if it's -6 maybe we spend the maximum amount allowed under our financial constraints, if it's -15 maybe we sign some younger cheaper players for the championship.
Expecting little movement on the manager/transfer front, then a desperate final few weeks.

I think -6 points he would come, if it's -10 I think he might just hold out for something else tbh.

We should appoint someone who can get us out of the championship again even if faced with a points deduction and transfer embargo…

IMO, Corberan is a good option in either league. Even though Copper doesn’t inspire me, I can see it.

All the anecdotal stuff is great for Forest (until they dumped him), but none of that is guaranteed to translate to another setup. Also, there were lots of rumours of pretty poor man management going on from him. However, most important thing is knowing how he will likely set the team up, how he will get the best out of players etc. But nobody seems to know how Cooper really sets his team up or how he likes to play?  I've watched Forest a few times and am at a complete loss to it. If he gets interviewed, lets hope he has a bloody good story and wins our management team over.

He doesn’t really have a bad record though, I think he’s a decent enough option

If Cooper had the same cv but with another club other than Forest I'm fairly sure more would find him acceptable.

Yep, I think people are just stuck on the fact he was at forest

The more I looking Carlos Corberan, the most I think he is the man , given this negative position we going to be dumped into.  He's proven to do well with a smaller budget.  Played good effective football, no tippy tappy .  And he know's it's a massive opportunity to dig in and make this work, he is already half way there with this squad with what Enzo left, (Hopefully Mads stays).  It's a good overall appointment if that where we go.  Hopefully 2/3 players Glover could dig out to compliment his style, we could be ok my pedigree chums

I think this is more likely where we will forced to go. If it's a small deduction and we find out quickly, someone like Moyes may come, if it's likely to be 8+ then we will probably have to bring in someone like Cooper/Corberan and give them a free hit on relegation and allow them to bring in some cheaper young players to mould over a few seasons.

Why are people saying Moyes? He blows that hold and cold it's a huge risk.

If he comes, does that mean Zaha comes with him, or did he break up with Moyes' daughter?

Wouldnt be against an experienced older manager coming in with Will Still as his assistant, with a view to moulding Sill into the future manager.

I mean, it worked so well with Bassett and Adams...

I think people are slightly over-estimating the points deduction thing etc. Imho football is like any other industry, if you're out of work and you're offered a good job, you'll take it. If you're offered more money, to do the same job, you'll probably take it. Managers know we pay well and that we don't fire managers in a hurry.

I don't think the likes of Moyes are too good for us at all. I also really don't think the points deduction will factor massively in anyone's decision. Any decent manager would be looking beyond this season anyway.

The points deduction, in my opinion, makes it more likely that we'll be able to attract a manager.

If you get relegated, then it wasn't their fault - it was the points deduction.

If they keep us up - look at me, what a miracle worker I am!

Whereas if we were coming into this season with no deduction, any manager we get will need to carry the can for the results on the pitch over the course of the season.

You’re right. And remember, Everton and Forest both stayed up…… as I’ve said it’s not the end of the world, especially if it doesn’t come until the winter.
