Unlike mads, he's gonna struggle to be first choice for Chelsea. Can't see him getting past mudryk, nkunku, madueke, most likely he will be super sub there.

But the big 6 will come in. He likely to be taken off us by Xmas or next summer.

Can't see Fatawu joining us now Enzo's gone. Seemed to have a great relationship with him.

Shame as we could have made a lot of money of Fatawu

Obligation to buy, he has very little choice.

He isn't the first player to be on the cusp of permanently signing for a team who've had a change in manager. This is where his fellow team mates will be on hand to chat amongst themselves and put everyone at ease.

The show goes on. He'll be in the Premier League where most players want to be and we'll no doubt pay him very well, we always do.

I’ve always wondered this about loans with obligations, are the wages agreed in advance for the permanent transfer or once the loan is finished?

I can't see any managers not wanting him. He's twenty years-old just had a good season in the championship and his workrate defensively is exceptional. He's still rough around the edges but any manager eould want himself an option at least.

In advance.

The real love affair is between us, the fans, and Fatawu.

As long as this transfer embargo nonsense is lifted and it's possible he'll be coming to us.

When is it meant to be lifted? Seeing other clubs permanently announcing their loans :(

I can't see how this is the case, surely we would then have to buy even if we didn't want them.

My understanding with a mandatory clause is that all the paperwork including the players contract will have already been sorted at the time, so we don’t need to worry.

I also think that Fatawu could be even better in a different style where we progress up the pitch quicker and look to hurt teams on the break.

The one thing that could happen, as stated by others, is he could be bought from us by someone else before a ball is kicked.

In terms of Chelsea though, I think they’d be more likely to come in for Mads. Could even see them going for KDH or Winks tbh.

Just want to quote you to say the people reacting with laugh emoji are retarded and that this was a pretty fair post.

Other that Fatawu being bought, I know we think he's excellent but he's not proven he's worth sufficiently more than what we're paying for him for someone to immediately bid enough that we'd sell.

But, yes, his transfer was realistically wrapped up ages ago and will likely be announced when the window opens.

And I don't think it's wildly unrealistic that Enzo might want to take Hermansen and Winks to Chelsea. They don't quite have either in their squad at the moment. I imagine Enzo Fernandez is first in line to play the Winks and Lavia might in years to come but neither are quite like for like. They definitely don't have a sweeper keeper and I genuinely think Hermansen will end up at a big six club sooner or later.

Don't think they'll want KDH though. Can see the likes of Palmer or Nkunku doing the KDH role with maybe Caicedo being their Ndidi.

My understanding is that the transfer embargo was put in place by the EFL, so as soon as we're officially in the EPL, the embargo has gone.  That's next week isn't it?

Thank you mate.

The reason I could see Winks happening is because he was Marescas key man in the system. He’s been open about it all be built around Winks as the foundation, and full of praise all season.

I also can see Winks being unhappy now Enzo has gone and being open to a move, and this would be his big chance of moving to a big club and reigniting his England career that he has talked about.

KDH is a funny one. Similarly to Winks really. It also wouldn’t surprise me if there was some weird unwritten agreement with Chelsea that they but KDH for x amount as part of the Enzo deal because we need cash.

Im with you on Fatawu, I just think Chelsea had an abundance of wide players and unless they move a load on, Abdul wouldn’t get a look in. He doesn’t strike me as a player who would be happy to go and sit on the bench for a payday at this point in his career.

I do however think that next summer he may well be off, and Chelsea won’t be out of the question at that point as I imagine a lot of their overpaid stars like Sterling will have gone/going at that point.

Any new signings will be after the 1st July so they land in the next PSR period.

My understanding is...He is contractually obliged to sign for us and as regards the money.. id rather we keep him and he becomes our next Mahrez and gives us 3 good years before we grab the money and run :)

Surely he can still reject the contract but the club are obliged to accept the pre-agreed transfer fee?

It depends very much on the agent, the money involved and the player’s standing in the game.

With a loan with obligation to buy, it's likely that a wage has already been agreed, perhaps as a base , or in principle, at the time of the player signing the original loan deal.

Morata as Juventus…real Madrid had their option to buy and did so, certainly against Juve's wishes and possibly even against Alvaro's wishes.

The only way to get out of the agreed contract would be to find a financial agreement to compensate the other club essentially creating a new contract agreed by all parties. Yet if a club already had a player by contractual obligation the price to buy out that contract would be very large indeed and entirely up to that club.

The player agrees to the original loan with option. And cannot just change his mind when that option is taken up. The obligation or option to buy offers the developing club the assurance that they will be compensated for training, playing and developing the club.

More pant shitting.

Mads is leaving.

Fatawu not signing.

Sell all our best players.

Danny Ward as number 1.

Maybe we should just fold the club.

I have a suspicion that Maresca will steer clear from current Leicester players given the circumstances of his departure.

There may also have been some gentlemen’s agreement not to buy from us.
