Obligation to buy, he has very little choice. 

 

He isn't the first player to be on the cusp of permanently signing for a team who've had a change in manager. This is where his fellow team mates will be on hand to chat amongst themselves and put everyone at ease.

 

The show goes on. He'll be in the Premier League where most players want to be and we'll no doubt pay him very well, we always do.

Not the first time we've wanted a loan player and then the manager has left.

Surely the obligation is with the selling club with regards to the fee, not the player, he can turn us down if he doesn't want to come. Otherwise we could offer him £10 a week

Obligation usually means obligation. Of course he will come.

Im sure the fee for his perm signing will have been included in the loan agreement.

Contract would be agreed last summer. The clause then activated upon the conditions being met (in this case promotion).

 

What you're talking about is an option to buy. That would be agreeing a set price that can be activated at any time by the loaning club but then you still have to agree terms with the loanee. We had one on Yunus but chose not to activate.

There's nothing to stop Chelsea coming in with a huge bid immediately after we've signed him. Could be the quickest profit we've ever made.
