Can’t believe some have even entertained the idea he could come back lol the Man City job is his when Pep walks away - hope for his sake it doesn’t take too long and he gets tempted into Man United or some other shitshow.

They’ve hosted a press briefing saying he ignored medical staff and played players which resulted in more injury’s and he doesn’t have the “mental fortitude” To manage a top team lol.

Have they appointed Donald Trump as Chief Exec. Straight out of the Donald play book, this

Doesn't really add up for what we know here when he was about the only manager to get a full season out of Pereira and most of the starting XI to play 90% of the fixtures.

Indeed, but truth is optional these days.

Different pressures though I guess. Cole Palmer has spent pretty much the entire season out injured so far and he’s their star player, when you are under pressure sometimes you make daft decisions. That said, I don’t think Chelsea has tarnished his reputation has it.

edit: I know you could blame age, but Vardy had one of his most injury hit seasons under him.

A step backwards? From Chelsea to us? It’s not a step, it’s a huge tumble from the very top of the staircase hitting every step on the way down, and then landing in dog shit.

Not happening.

I guess it depends on how many floors and flights of stairs……he’ll probably be unconscious or dead by the time he lands in the shit

Why do people want him back, head scratcher.
1 - We need to stop that type of football, we cant afford a 200 million pound squad to make it work.

2 - He left us after only a single year, no loyalty.

Even with better players than us,  Chelsea fans were sick of the football as well.

Regardless he wont come back anyway.

When a top 6 club come calling, you don't say no.

We got £10 mil for him and his staff and we offloaded KDH for an inflated price. I would say we absolutely maximized his time with us.

You mention loyalty, but how loyal were the club exactly? Judging by comments from Rodgers, himself, Cooper, RVN and now Cifuentes, it indicates that the loyalty from the club wasn't exactly there. And judging by Whelan's departure and Top's hollow-sounding admissions we should absolutely err on the side of caution when questioning "loyalty".

People that want him back are on another planet, he could walk into a lot of top jobs in Europe and will probably hold out for Man City or Madrid in the summer anyway 🤣

Worth listening to what Henry Winter said about him on his podcast.

Does seem like winning competitions has gone to his head, and having someone like Jorge Mendes as his agent will boost his ego further - he’s got a strong PR machine behind him although Balague has been strangely quiet having been his no.1 cheerleader.

Wants to have control of a club, which he would have got here. Far less likely with a big club, as they will typically have a structure led by a DoF. Doubt Man City will appoint him given how his time at Chelsea ended.

Clubs will also be wary of appointing him given how he flexed at Chelsea and his increasing reputation for being a snake, based on how he was talking to other clubs while at Chelsea.

Managers quite often turn down moves to bigger clubs, they not all like that.  The guy who recently left boro is another one I wouldnt consider.

Hopping constantly to what is best for oneself is a mercenary.

Name me someone ambitious and on the way up from a lesser club who has turned down a move to a top 6 club. Don’t agree this often happens.

Even if every fan wanted him back, and he was happy to come.back dont think top has rhe same ambition as him. He was a good manager but sadly we have a big fat dung on who runs this club, who only wants managers who have no ambition  just like them.

So far the calls I have seen have been a “last Hail Mary” for King and MON, whatever the **** that means…..

And this?

Why are we obsessed with bringing managers back? Neither MON or Enzo would want to come back, Enzo will think we’re beneath him now anyway……:

Edwards (Boro to Wolves) was due to his affinity with Wolves so an emotional move so not sure you can class him in the same way. Career wise he’d have been better not going there!

A top manager will ONLY turn down a Big 6 club while at Leicester IF we are competing for europe in the first place.

Why would a top manager turn down a Big 6 club if they have to deal with our PSR rubbish, Rudkin mardy arse, poor recruitment structure and no future vision?

I agree with you, but you have quoted me and managed to paste something that someone else had said as that wasn’t me lol

I should have said I meant within first couple of years, but it does happen, Spurs have had managers turn them down, as well as Chelsea and Manchester United.  Xabi turned down Liverpool if you want a recent'ish example.

He turned down Liverpool and then went to Real Madrid?
