Still the fact we've spent £5m on Golding for him not to have a sniff of first team action baffles me

I think that was more of a PSR con deal. Overspend on one of your players, and you overspend on one of ours to balance to books.

Jordan Ayew should be watching this after the attempt he made at controlling the ball on Saturday when he put the ball out for a goal kick

Leicester City keen to give 'hotshot' exposure
Jordan Blackwell's Leicester City notebook looks at the under-21s' winning run, a scouting trip to Porto alongside Manchester United and Tottenham, and plans to go big on recruitment

Leicester City Under-21s won twice at Seagrave last week with an aggregate scoreline of 7-1

While Leicester City’s senior team are struggling for victories, their under-21s can’t stop winning. Two home successes last week means it’s three wins on the spin for the development squad. While that may not sound significant, it’s their longest winning run for two-and-a-half years, since April 2022.

They scored seven goals in the process too, beating Middlesbrough 3-1 and then Stoke 4-0. Against Boro, 17-year-old striker Josh King scored a brace for his first goals for City at under-21 level in just his second start, and interim boss Leon McSweeney is keen to give him more opportunities to impress.

McSweeney told the club: “In front of goal he’s a hotshot and we want to maximise that as much as we can, give him as much exposure to 21s football because he can do that on a regular basis. It’s important to get him minutes, and when he responds like that, it’s only going to get him more time on the pitch.”

In the thrashing of Stoke, in which City were 4-0 up before half-time, hot prospect Jake Evans was at the double for his first Premier League 2 goals, the 16-year-old adding to the winner he scored in the Premier League Cup victory at Hull that kicked off this winning run.

Last week’s two victories mean City are now eighth of 26 in the Premier League 2 standings. They’ll hope to rise even higher this Friday when they head to bottom-of-the-table Blackburn, who have lost all of their fixtures so far.

There were no appearances for another of City’s leading prospects, 2009-born Jeremy Monga, last week though, as he was away representing England Under-16s. He scored one and set up another in a 3-0 win over Ukraine.

Likely to be filmed for their reference, Ai will pull the highlight package together and the commentating is probably put on after for the clips ( could even be ai too.)

Every game you can imagine that the club play in, is recorded. It's what analysts are for.

Whether you're right or not, there's no defending a Premier League club not covering their developement side, when League One teams have dedicated channels for theirs.

They're scared of criticism, they're constantly monitoring this site, not for great insight or fan feedback... but for any criticism or information leaks.

Backwards. Simple as.

Oh i totally agree, there is no reason not to show the games live. It's ridiculous that they don't but it doesnt surprise me as it would involve effort - which the club just doesnt seem to be bothered about doing anything at the minute.

Is it right that he's 15? He wins that physical duel with the defender quite comfortably who i assume is 18+ years old. Having two 15 year olds already competing at u21 level is very exciting.

Evans is 16, Monga is 15. King is 17. So much talent coming through that are already making an impact at U21 level.
