1 goal this season. Surely we just see this as a bullet dodged and move onto other targets.

Like whom?

Bear in mind we really do need a striker capable of leading the line by himself so not another Daka, not an Edouard etc.

Literally any striker in the top 5 leagues. This guy is being outscored by Tete in his own team.

I'd see him as a bullet dodged.

Look in the loan market, Jupiler Pro league, Eredivisie, Championship, anywhere else.

Ideal striker I'd go for is Eli Jr Kroupi. Others I've seen mentioned are Franjo Ivanovic and Francesco Esposito.

Surely anything is better than a striker with one goal in the Greek league unless we get him on the cheap?

Who gives a shit if he has a 3% goal conversion rate this season, a 95% back pass completion rate is all I’m bothered about when it comes to Fotis.

Esposito is the exact profile of striker we need, annoyingly Inter would want a fee we probably don't have at this time.

Kroupi is very talented but we need a physical striker as a priority. That's not to say we don't also need more reinforcements up front in the summer though.

Personally I think of the three I would go for Esposito the least.

Of the two physical options (Ivanovic and Esposito) I would much rather Franjo Ivanovic. He's the Croatian replica of Victor Gyokeres. It just depends whether the Brighton/USG setup would be wary of making the same mistake again and not wanting him to go.

I see you point regarding Kroupi but he is so good at everything apart from being physically dominant that I cant imagine he wouldn't be a success here.

Ivanovic can't move again this season anyway as already played for two clubs. Early days yet but he does look extremely promising. Surely ends up at Brighton.

Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton make approaches for striker- Agent communicates valuation

Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton could all need a striker in the summer transfer window and are looking at the same player to bolster their attack.

The player in question is Panathinaikos’ Fotis Ioannidis, who is attracting attention from a host of clubs in Europe.

Corriere dello Sport report on the Greek striker and claim that all of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester City have made initial approaches for the 25-year-old.

Fiorentina are also interested and have tried to sign him multiple times in the past. The forward has always been intrigued by the idea of playing in Serie A, with Bologna and Lazio also having made contact for him previously.

Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester City will provide stiff competition, with Ioannidis’ agent having made it clear that a fee of €20m would be needed to sign the Greece international.

Fiorentina have not gone beyond €12m in their valuation and this can prove to be an advantage for the three English clubs.

Ioannidis has now played 185 times for Panathinaikos and has scored 51 times during his five-year-long stint. That makes it clear why multiple clubs are keeping a close eye on him.

@20mill too expensive for us maybe?

Didn't want to play for us in the PL, no chance now. Just lazy paper talk, we're not signing anyone for £20m.

We'd probably still pay more than any of the Serie A teams mentioned.

Agent desperate for him to move on is he? I reckon that’s just  rehashing previously interested clubs. His agent probably doesn’t even realize we have been relegated

If we were still in the Prem then maybe but I cannot see is dropping £17m on a striker in the Championship

If you put a Spurs shirt on him, could you see it then?
