StriderHiryu Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 Actually a good player, but IMO not a priority position. I agree with 3 at the back, but we kind of setup as 3 at the back last season as in possesion we were 3412. 1
Stadt Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 Okoli Faes Vestergaard (new 3 year deal looking good) Souttar Coady Nelson Not sure £13m or so on a CB should be our number one priority with FFP problems around our neck. At least two of Souttar, Faes and Coady need to be sold then and our track record at hitting players is toss 1
kingpower Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 I imagine Faes is on his way out, which I’m not sad about 4
jonny_wright Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 If that’s our biggest outlay this summer in a position we are stacked then wow

Guesty Posted 4 July 2024 Author Posted 4 July 2024 (edited) I could see us playing 3 at the back. Selling no one and loaning Nelson out so he gets regular first team development. Edited 4 July 2024 by Guesty

I was thinking the upside of Cooper is that he might actually utilise some of the assets we already had e.g Souttar/Coady. However if it's Faes we sell and if it's £20m+ we probably do ok out of this.
StriderHiryu Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 Q: How many Centre Backs do Leicester need? A: Yes 1

Will1981 Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 (edited) If he is half the center back we last signed from Atalanta we are onto a winner, miss you Benny you mad bastard. Edited 4 July 2024 by Will1981 1

Lesta Legend Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 Faes had a very good Euros and suggested he could move too - can’t find the interview.

I’m not so convinced 3 at the back works as well with our quality in wide positions. You want that extra man in midfield, with fullbacks able to back them up on the flanks.
LestaLad Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 The quotes and replies to this when you translate them.. Not the best read. :/ 1
