College soccer is a blip on the sports radar over here, but this is a pretty cool story. University of Vermont won the NCAA Division 1 Championship last night on a golden goal. Beat the #2 and #3 seeded teams to make the finals, and won the championship.

5 for Bayern but Kane not a goal scorer.

Rare for sure, although I thought he played well, from what I saw of the match.

I was certainly happy to see Phonz set up Sane and then shortly afterward, bang one in.

Atletico score a winner over Barca in the dying seconds :o

Just had a feeling they'd do it. Defended really well and took their chances beautifully.

Sorloth took the goal brilliantly.

Atletico got battered and score with the last kick of the game. They do it quite regularly seemingly. Certainly against the better teams.

Saw this earlier about them .

Atletico Madrid were promoted to LaLiga in 2002.

They finished 12th, 7th, 11th, 10th, 7th, 4th, 4th, 9th, and 7th until Diego Simeone joined in December 2011. They won the Europa League in his first season.

Since 2012 in LaLiga: 3rd, 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 4th.

They currently sit in first.

And yet when some on here suggested him as a replacement for Pearson the bulk of the forum had a collective meltdown. At the very least, he’d have murdered Rudkin by now.

Claudio's doing a decent job turning Roma's season around.

It was a very Ranieri win last night. Excellent defensive performance in the 2nd half.
