O’Riley was born in London and came through the Fulham academy before going on to join MK Dons and then landing at Celtic in January 2022. The midfielder, who can play in any of the No 6, No 8 and No 10 roles, joined Celtic for an initial £1.5million in January 2022, and that transfer has proven to be a great piece of business. O’Riley has since made a name for himself as one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and arguably Celtic’s most valuable star. They shoot, they score!!! Get 2 pizzas at Pizza Hut, any size for just £20! Better yet, we'll also throw in a 1.5L Pepsi Max **T&C's apply** The left-footed ace registered a hugely impressive 19 goals and 18 assists in 49 games for Celtic last term, helping the Hoops win a league and cup double. O’Riley thought he had done enough to force his way into the Denmark squad for Euro 2024, as he is eligible to represent them through his mother’s side, but the 23-year-old narrowly missed the cut. O’Riley has since decided that he wants to secure a big move this summer to put himself in the shop window more and ensure that he can become a crucial player for Denmark in the future. Atalanta have held several rounds of talks with Celtic over a possible deal, but Leicester have since barged into the chase. There's definitely a deal to be done in there. The question is, which two pizzas do you want? 7

Phenom Posted 14 July 2024 Posted 14 July 2024 O’Reilly and Soule would be pretty amazing. I’d have to give Rudkin his props. Now, get it over the line 1

st albans fox Posted 14 July 2024 Posted 14 July 2024 Can’t see us getting him and soule I think he’d be the more difficult deal to do aswell

Newcastle or Everton are 2 very different destinations. One is a club on the up chasing Europe, the other a relegation battler with no money playing hoofball. 1

Dahnsouff Posted 15 July 2024 Posted 15 July 2024 Thought Juve were getting Koopemeiners with the Soule / Chiesa money or is that with the Calafiori money?

StanSP Posted 15 July 2024 Posted 15 July 2024 The second offer, around 15 million euros, was rejected by Celtic but Atalanta, as mentioned, is not giving up. Working to facilitate the operation between the two clubs is the intermediary Blash Hosseini. O'Riley (midfielder born in 2000) has already approved the possible transfer to Atalanta and already has a basic understanding with the Bergamo club for a long-term contract, most likely five years. The agreement between the two clubs now remains to be found, with Atalanta insisting on O'Riley. https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/atalanta-o-riley-celtic-offerta
st albans fox Posted 15 July 2024 Posted 15 July 2024 I wonder if this fella is better suited to our current predicament of trying to stay up than soule ?? soule has a higher potential ceiling but we need to have someone hit the ground running rather than potentially taking some time to settle in a strange country 2

If it’s one or the other. Edited 15 July 2024 by FoxinNotts 2

Really good replacement for KDH plus a really good number 10/rotation option for the wingers would give us a fighting chance this year I reckon. Just might not be possible financially. 1

Soule has been regularly playing against Serie A teams in a tactical league, this fella has been playing against Grimsby and Oadby Town. So it's debatable who'd hit the ground running the best perhaps. 1

South Shire Fox Posted 16 July 2024 Posted 16 July 2024 For £15-20 million id be all over this. Dont lose out on Soule and him

I’d be expecting Cooper to be looking at a 4231 formation so either could play the 10 role behind the striker that we didn’t have last season. It would keep Mavididi and Fatawu on the wings where they excelled and allows Winks and Ndidi to play together (I don’t think Wilf can be dropped after signing a new contract and I can’t imagine we’d play him in an attacking role in the PL). The alternative would be a more defensive 4321 with two of Mav, Fats and new signing in front of Winks, Wilf and one from Choudhury, Soumare or a youngster.
