Ali Dia,  George Weah's cousin!

He was world class... as of 15 minutes lol he did actually have a near miss. Just imagine he scores that different story. Wonder kid from nowhere.

Neymar. Luckily I've seen him play 5 occasions in grounds never impressed me like Messi or Ronaldo did.

Ibrahimovic was one I never understood the hype about too.

I’m going to say in a team game Zlatan Ibrahimovic is spoken about at a level he never really reached. Again, no doubt a top player and a good finisher, but never really lasted more than a couple of seasons at a club, no champions league wins, never really did it at a major international tournament, and was probably the best self publicist the game has ever seen.

This isn’t to say he’s not a top striker, he is and has scored some phenomenal goals, but for me never a world class striker and I don’t think there’s been a point in his career where he would get picked for a world class 11.

Zlatan was easily one of the best strikers of his generation. He produced for every single team he played for. Even his underwhelming spell with Barcelona was productive.

As for Sweden, they would literally not have qualified for major tournos without him. I think he delivered as well as he could for that team.

I don't like the guy, he's got razers on his elbows and obviously has an inflated ego, but he was world class, absolutely.

Rashford I used to always say if he wasn't playing for Man Utd he would be playing in the Championship. I think other people might be seeing it now.

Not sure many would say he was ever world class. He was and is a very good Premier League player, has over 20 goals in three seasons at a relatively young age.

I think he might need to leave Man Utd to get back on track now though.

I increasingly think Kane is very overrated and that his record of never winning a trophy is not some fluke anomaly.

Fine wine. It's no accident. He just isn't that good.

I think he is that good at what he does. Unfortunately, it takes a whole team to be set up to service that and it comes at the detriment of those around him.

Totally plausible theory. When I say this about him, he's obviously good, I just don't think he's quite as good as made out.

Also Declan Rice. Was genuinely awful at the Euros.

Not sure the Euros should be used as a yardstick.

His price tag gave him the world class bracket, even for Arsenal I can’t see it - he’s slow, can’t control the ball quickly or release it at the right time - he’s streets behind Rodri for example. Rice is definitely bang average

Yeah, he's definitely not worth the price tag for most teams, but again, this is highly inflated due to it being a PL to PL transfer.

When you look at Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, it's also difficult to see a £100+ mil player there.

Overall I just don’t think he’s that good, the media lift him up because he’s British - he was Irish before English don’t forget!

Any of the current England squad. Bellingham and Rice in particular

Actually after properly looking at the thread title I wouldn't say I don't rate them but they're massively overrated

Rice is so good at picking the ball up and running with it. He is so direct. He has done this for West Ham and Arsenal.

Yet Southgate gets hold of him and makes him into this limited defensive midfielder.

I have no doubt Rice is a central midfielder, not a defensive midfielder that people make him out to be.
