thought we had no money?

We've always had money, just not been allowed to spend it due to ffp and our crippling wage bill whilst not being able to clear the deadwood when the shit hit the fan

Sky Transfer Center:

Leicester in talks with Juventus over Soule deal

Latest from Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas and Sky Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio:

Leicester are in talks with Juventus over a deal for Matias Soule.

The Argentina U23 international is a player of interest to Leicester and one of a number in the attacking-midfield position they are looking to recruit in.

Juventus want a substantial fee for him in the region of £33.5m (€40m) for Soule, who is believed to be keen on a move to Roma, who have yet to bid.

how come every report seems to increase the amount juve want. it was €30m last week… they’ve just realised how easy we are to negotiate up

Nothing has really changed that’s the amount that was quoted a month ago

Roma doesn’t worry me too much but West Ham does. We should have gotten this done a week ago, though.

Pffft, West Ham are Frankie and Bennies….. someone will tell you it’s brilliant, you go and it’s actually shit. That’s West Ham, they should be good, but actually, they’re pretty shit.

Yes, but they’ve got money. More than us or Roma.

They’re also under the same constraints as us. They’re like Newcastle, they appear bigger than they actually are because they’ve got a fairly large fan base.

That's the issue though...

The club never learn to move quickly as other teams will come in

When the roles were reversed, we swooped in for Daka when Liverpool dragged their feet— we have to be aware that the same could happen to us.

TBF, Juventus had 13 players in the Euros and Copa America so they may not have been in such a rush to sell players.

What's the opposite of dodging a bullet? Jumping in front of a bullet I suppose.

Under the same constraints with a higher turnover affords more flexibility

Ffs Rudders, either get this done or give it to Susan to close. Playing poker with Roma and West Ham is possibly going to end up badly.

We don't know where the hold up is but do we really want the club to rush in to secure the deal by over paying? We've been accused of doing that in the past. I prefer the cautious approach at this point, they'll be other options if we miss out.

If we really want a player, we should offer what we think they’re worth. Now, we’re close to a bidding war and are upping our offers to win it.
