I know I've asked you before, but is there any reason at all to suggest that business/the Chinese/AN Other will pick up the tab on ecological issues in the time needed and the manner needed?

As above, really - perhaps the social consequences may not pan out, but I don't see the environmental ones ending any other way. If there's another possible outcome, I'd love to hear justification for it.

Edit: This has been covered before too, but when bad things happen, the one who actually did them takes most of the blame, with the ones that tried to stop them and failed also getting a part of it, but much smaller.

What did you think Harris would do for warming against globally approved metrics and targets? All well and good saying she understands and supports climate change, but what effect do you actually think she would’ve had on USA NDCs up until 2030, and what do you think trump will do to the scores?

It depends from which side you view this. It works blindingly well for those wishing to manipulate the stupid masses and not having to worry about legitimacy issues.

Except we live in times where everything, even hard truths, are up for debate. I don't trust the population of the US to wake up and smell the coffee any time soon.

Then unless someone else takes up the slack, the future doesn't look great.

If you wouldn't mind mate, I'd like an answer to my question first before I address yours.

Amen.

I suppose it's really a sober reminder that the best days are over. I'm disappointed to have grown up thinking the future would be great and it's turning out rather disappointingly.

I'm still, compared to the world, fairly high up the ladder but I know it won't go as high as it could have.

No one will remember Trump, what he did or what he was responsible for when time comes. The people will be utterly ignorant of anything. Braindead sheep.

What makes you think the 'rest of the world' are any better, more competent or otherwise?

I would like to know how the hell did Ted Cruz the most hated senator in the country,  hold onto his seat against a really strong democratic candidate. Yes I know it’s Texas, but come on USA.

It's Texas.

I just mean that the scars from this may be felt in the rest of the world. Ukraine, middle east as others have said, for example. His decisions could make ripples around the world, which won't be forgotten

It's more "will" than "could", sadly.

Now the Supreme Court has decided the President is immune from prosecution when acting in an official capacity I'm sure Biden has lots of options to try and stop the election from being certified. Something tells me that wouldn't be ok like when it was Trump doing it though.

When can Harris talk about voter fraud and storm the capital?

Is that now, or do we need to wait for a few hours?

The current Vice President is a voracious reader of English literature, political science and economics. The incoming Vice President favours books by Heritage Foundation leader Kevin Roberts and far-right nutsack/conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec.

Yes I did actually state that, but thanks for pointing it out anyway.

I know, I quoted you. It was a joke, but you took it literally
