I guess so coming off the bench etc. I kind of assumed he meant a regular starter but could be wrong. Either way it's unprofessional even though I don't want Cooper here 1

At the end of this season we build, and that includes thanking Cooper for his service and playing a role, and then we move on. Right now, with our current financial position and the EFL waiting like a pack of hungry dogs to take us to the cleaners it’s imperative that we stay up by any means possible. And if that means a season of crappy backs to the wall football then so be it. At the end of the season, we survive, we then need to take the next step towards midtable - that slow build like last time with Pearson, Claudio gave us a little bonus, the Puel had a job to do, which again wasn’t pretty but served a purpose then Rodgers took us on to the next level, before the crash. We need to follow this process and look to quickly build at the end of the season. Completely agree.. thank you Mr Cooper, you may leave.. only issue is I cannot see our board doing that. Massive massive season though, purely about staying up. Next 4 league games (yes including united away) are all opportunities for points for me .. absolute minimum 7.. and if that's all we get the loss must not come against soton or Ipswich. Ps, not wearing Rose tinted specs, but forest is a home tie and United are shite 🤣

They were at the NFL at the weekend in London and ended up in a bar outside the stadium with someone who’s played every league game so far this season, again I won’t name drop. He was a bit drunk nothing major, really really lovely guy, asked him about cooper said all the things many of us have said on the forum and he tried his best not to say anything, kept giving me a "look" and then eventually he said "all the players think we understand football more than him, he's a nice guy but none of us respect him as a manager" Asked him about ricardo and he said "no idea how he’s not playing, he's still one of the best players at the club" Also off topic I asked about Rudkin and he said "scapegoat, the players love him" though I suspect they would given he just gives them big money etc. He was extremely confident we would stay up, said the team are far better than cooper is having us play, he doesn't think cooper will last long, indicated all the players don't think he's very good. Dont shoot the messenger. Some of this explains the body language of the players, arguing amongst themselves and shouting at the bench. It would also add up with the info about Winks and Vardy challenging the manager. Of course he can’t drop Vardy else he would lose more fans but Winks? Yeah he could get away with that now as 75% of Winks’ game leans towards a side that have more possession. JJ 2

There reemergence of Soumare into the team over the likes of Winks has caused a stir as well. It’s not a happy dressing room by any stretch of the imagination. 8

Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 8 October 2024 Posted 8 October 2024 So all the players don't respect Cooper as a manager but at the same time they seemingly obey his instructions to be defensive and shit in the second half according to the prevailing narrative. Amazing. 😂 1

Something I've always thought about Everton fans when they signed Dyche. They were buzzing that he'd keep them steady but it's no long term solution when at the heart of it, they'll want to be where Moyes had them, fighting for Europe with more exciting football.... And so it transpired, they are sick of him now. If Cooper keeps us up he deserves all the credit but doesn't inspire for building IMO as he's fundamentally limited! 2

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 8 October 2024 Posted 8 October 2024 (edited) Usually I would seriously question the validity of stories like this, particularly when it reflects a lot of our views, but it just makes so much sense. To think we had a better manager in the league below says it all really, and imagine what goes through your mind as a player. Edited 8 October 2024 by Wasyls Pec Deck
Sunbury Fox Posted 8 October 2024 Posted 8 October 2024 Could be Mads. Speaks very good English, seems like a nice chap and his comments after the Arsenal game were very interesting. Unlike JJ, who ludicrously talked of how we had gone "toe to toe" with Arsenal, Mads focused on the fact that he should not be facing over 35 shots in any game............
