  • When you start players who have previously made a difference when subbed on
  • They then cannot come on and make a difference later.
  • Perhaps they are better against tired players?

Thought I'd calm myself down by watching Emmerdale and can't even do that as it wasn't on because of the women's football! Raging!

You're totally, massively wrong. That was basically a fan's XI, and - as it turned out - the worst selection of the season by far. I have no idea why the manager folded and put out the side that the biggest cretins under the sun were hankering to see. For me, it was the moment that I understood, clearly, that he's not in control of the situation.

Faes is in the Belgium team.

 

Okoli is a talent and will get caps for Italy.

 

Ricardo has been underused and looked undercooked tonight, that’s on the manager. He should’ve featured more, very good footballer. 

 

Justin and VK are more than capable bottom half PL full backs.

 

Coady and Vesty more than capable PL CB’s

The challenge he has, is that collectively this squad looks like it doesn’t want to be playing, whatever tactics they’re meant to be playing. 
 

It’s a shambles in all honestly.
 

No one is running to make space.

 

The wide players need support and neither are beating two or three people at this level. They aren’t a Ronaldo, Hazard etc. 

 

Football is simple when it’s played correctly but people need to move. We aren’t even doing that. 
 

Where do we go from here, is anyone’s guess in all honesty. If they won’t move him on, we’ll just continue with this like some sort of purgatory type Groundhog Day.

He was let down by the players mistakes in the 2nd half

 

However he also still didn’t really react at all until too late again to Nuno changing their tactics at half time to stop us playing through the middle and it made us so blunt when going forward

 

I don’t think we will ever get to see a complete 90 minute performance from us with Cooper in charge because his in game management the vast majority of the time is shocking or just non-existent

But it’s the strongest 11. 
playing a weakened 11 so you can bring on subs is just silly.

Think we need to accept Coady probably ain't good enough now

 

 

Dyche, enzo and Cooper evidently don't/didn't rate him.

The Man Utd cup game will be a bonus for him.

 

Will need to go if don't get anything at Ipswich, but can't see Ipswich winning that at all tbh.

It was like a premier league manager up against a championship manager.

 

Cooper got completely out thought tactically at half time and it was beyond his ability to find an answer. The subs he made and formation change made us even worse

the first half was one of the better performances we've put out mind. Problem is, he's a cargo cult manager, saw that the inverted full back system worked well last season but didn't understand why, so he copies it but doesn't know how to coach it and how to adapt it in game to deal with the opposition adapting to counter it
