Mitoma got the better of Sugawara for Brighton's goal. One Japanese international outwitting another with brilliant movement, leaving his opponent slumped on the turf.

Looking at how hard Ipswich worked last weekend and how hard Southampton worked tonight, we’ve got to match that. Every time I watch us I think we are the lowest intensity/energy team

in the league. The manager has gone. It would seem some players have maybe got their wish? Now they need to step up to the plate and give it more than they have been doing. Significantly more.

Our scorelines have masked a lot of things. Should have been well beaten several times. Ipswich have taken a couple of beatings but they have probably been more competitive overall.

 

Looking at Brighton for next week, they have had a good start but failed to beat Ipswich, Wolves and Southampton. We can get something.

Agree. There's been no intensity or press. Not sure they really knew what to do. Too many player changes and in different positions. Need somehow to get a settled side.
