To be fair, they seemed fiercely loyal to Cooper in the main. The entitlement label which is often attached to ourselves may well have some truth to it, as a standalone point, but it doesn't hold up in terms of what has unfolded at the club in recent years.

Because he got them promoted and kept them up. They were glad to see the back of him when he eventually got the tin tack.

To be fair I get why Forest fans love Cooper despite them all being weirdos. To them he pulled them from a long period of decline back to the big time. In fairness to Cooper he had a way of getting results, his football was absolute rot. I’m not sure if he had enough to keep us up, but as we had no intention of backing a replacement we should have just stuck with him, the outcome would be no worse.

I was really worried Forest would beat Chelsea, and our 2-2 draw would ultimately have counted for nothing.

But now they can keep cursing us as that's what cost them Champions League (especially as Villa and Newcastle also messed up).   :scarf:

Can understand the frustration- same for us when we lost to spurs and villa beat Chelsea

There’s an argument we would have gone down anyway but with more of a fight. Then again, at least a few players were supposedly not on board with Cooper, so the season might well have played out in the same way.

He was never going to last. He had a disastrous preseason and lost the dressing room. Sacking Cooper was the right decision. Replacing him with Van Nistelrooy was the mistake.

I think replacing with anyone who they had no point in backing was pointless really, unless the replacement came in aware of the shitshow. To expect someone to work and change something with literally nothing to work with was a tall ask of any manager.

I can't think of anyone who could have kept us up with nowt to spend in January. Dyche, perhaps? Röhl kept Wednesday up under similar circumstances but obviously in the Championship where the gulf between teams is far smaller.

Absolute joke club! I'd argue they are actually in a worse state than we are.

Scary to think that if we could have mustered up 4 wins and a draw spurs could have gone down. That’s really not much at all looking at it now. Not got a clue where the points come from mind. could have maybe beat spurs opening day, palace and Everton should have been wins.

The door was wider than we thought

man utd are becoming a bit of a meme club atm arent they

long may it continue

Genuinely not outside the realm of possibility they implode either financially or through relegation. Absolutely unthinkable even a year ago.

62m for Cunha. Will United ever stop being a complete meme?

Yet they can't afford to pay their restaurant staff, apparently. Utter ***** that, Jim Ratcliffe.
