Fantastic news. I feared the worst to be honest

Awful initial statement from West ham

Problem is that people were breaking it on social media so they wouldve felt it necessary to say something fast.

Yeah fair enough. Just made it sound like there was little hope

United with be back in for RVN early at this rate !!!

We need for Amorim to be just shit enough that it's deeply funny to watch Man Utd struggle, but just good enough to not justify a sacking for at least a year or two. It's a very nice sweet spot.

Manure back level.

I just love how two Premier League managers have been sacked, and RVN technically replaced both of them.

How long do we reckon it’ll be till Man Utd win another league title? Liverpool went 30 years. Arsenal currently on 20 and counting.

I don’t see them winning one in the next 5 seasons at least.

Wild to me that there were people on here that used to turn their nose up at the idea of Thomas Frank.

We could have got him in October 2022 as well.

They're miles off it. Will take 3 to 4 years just to be in the mix for the top 4 imo. And that's if they start to make the right decisions. Too many rotten apples in that side

So a bit like their last manager. 🤣

Thomas Frank, Unai Emery or stick this out for a bit and try Dean Smith later. Hmm. Options, options.

Manchester City (unless they have a huge drop off post Pep, points deduction or both), Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and possibly even Newcastle will all be in the running before they are again.

Brilliant coach!

One of my favourite, if not my favourite, in the league. He used to be my dream "realistic" appointment, not just for his qualities as a coach but the experience and knowledge he'd bring from working at Brentford would potentially set us up for a "revolution" a bit like when Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh modernised the club.

He's well out of our reach these days now.

It only takes two or three players and a good coach.

Difficult to say when they’ll next pick up a league title. They have gone the way of 89a Liverpool.

Why do footballers always seem to be gesticulating to the ref when called out on a foul as if to say “what about when this other thing happened?”

They surely don’t think the ref will care or change their mind? Just to keep the tally up I assume.  :dunno:

But it pisses me off anyway lol

Seems like a genuinely decent guy too. Brentford are lucky to have him

Be interesting to see whether any of bigger clubs come in for him at some point.

Feels like football snobbery may see him miss out on a bigger job.

Can't believe West Ham didn't go for him in the summer.

As I said, their 4th goal going off commentary sounded abit industrial, Rugby like.

(Having just watched it, it's certainly the case for the first part.)

From how I remember it described; Punt up field, out to touch, towards the oppositions corner, alleviate pressure, get players forward, Trippier throw, Brentford win it back, worked it well tbf, neat, intrinsic passes, with purpose, goal.

I dare say that's why people turn their nose up.

I'll say it, time and time again, football snobbery.

The doubt with Frank will surely only be whether he can replicate it outside of the Brentford system. They're a well oiled machine and we've seen it many a time before where a manager just fits a set up really well.
