1-1 draw.

Liverpool will feel disappointed that they didn't finish that off. Forest sounded cack in the second half.

Sorry to say this but Forest defended very well. Salah left his shooting boots at home though.

Yep. Sels was brilliant too.

It seems that West Ham aren't in trouble any more, so there's another team I can comfortably want to win against lower half teams.

The whole world was up our arse when we won the league.

Everyone loves an underdog story

If they hadn't spent a huge wedge since promotion I'd be less arsed about the whole thing

Or sacked him in October and appointed Emery or Frank.

Sacked him when we did and appointed an immediate replacement and not the two wallys for those Villa and Bournemouth games and we’d have been safe I think

MGW cost more than our team.

Their goal got absolutely peppered and no Salah had his worst game of the season. Least they didn’t win but Liverpool absolutely dominated the game and should have won easily, Forest only had one good chance on goal. luckiest team every single time I watch them play

Indeed. Even stinking the place out for 90% of the season, we could have survived if we'd only made one correct decision at the correct time.

I was there when it was first vs second away at Man city , we spanked them.  forest scraped that draw , they defend well and are great on the break but i can see them finishing double didgets behind Liverpool in the end

Hate them but they're a decent side.

Fast,fit and strong.

Keeper played really well but as Liverpool upped it, they stayed strong and still gave Liverpool enough to worry about on the counter.

They won't win the title but a very good night for them considering other results.

Difficult game for me as probably the 2 of the 3 clubs I hate the most ( Chelsea)

It was brilliant. We played so well that day. Mahrez and Vardy were both pure class

underdog story....really....

how much have forest spent since they got up.....what £200/250mil? (probably more tbf)

not calling it an underdog story when you spunk that amount of cash in 3 seasons

Nobody expected them to be top half, never mind challenge for CL places. Some pundits (e.g. Gary Neville) even predicted them to be relegated.

I hate Forest as much as the next guy but if they keep doing well, they’ll get loads of plaudits and exposure whether we like it or not.

Compared to the greedy 6, they’re an underdog like the rest of us.

If you look at net spend 2020 - 2024, they aren’t that high in the list, so it’s still an under-dog story.

Over the past four seasons (2020/21 to 2023/24), Premier League clubs have exhibited varying net transfer spends, reflecting their investment strategies and on-field ambitions. Here’s a breakdown of the net transfer spend by club during this period:

1. Chelsea - £772m

2. Manchester United -  £539m

3. Tottenham Hotspur -  £465m

4. Arsenal - £461m

5. Newcastle - £360m

6. West Ham - £272m

7. Liverpool - £248m

8. Nottingham Forest - £217m

9. Aston Villa - £213m

10. Crystal Palace - £144m

11. Manchester City - £140m

12. AFC Bournemouth -  £125 million.

13. Fulham - £121 million..

14. Brentford - £94m

15. Southampton - £59m

16. Brighton & Hove Albion - £49m

17. Leicester City - £17m

Net spend is all over the shop. Big clubs have the power to make expensive mistakes and move players on. Smaller clubs like ourselves, a bad transfer window cripples you for years.

The initial fee for MGW was the same as we paid for Oliver Skipp.

the add ons are for if they make Europe etc.

And you are just deluded if you think he cost more than our team.

true i never thought theyd be where they are but i didnt think theyd go down either

the thing is with Forest they got battered tonight(imo anyway) liverpool should have won that really

true compared to the top 6 you could call them an underdog, but aint no way Im calling them that when theyve spunked so much on transfers since theyve came up

like next season will be the acid test really, pretty sure they are close to FFP/PSR as well, so wonder how things will work out
