Despite all the crap surrounding the club at the minute I’ve got pretty much no enthusiasm for this. Monday night for opening game of the season is total bollocks, if it was tomorrow I’d be all over it, suns out, beer garden, meeting mates I’ve not seen for a while, but sky have slaughtered it. Probably won’t even bother going. These are the things fans groups should be lobbying for, all opening games should be Saturday kick offs. Even if they did all 12:30 kick offs so they could have one game on but Fridays, Sunday and Monday, **** off.

Everton didn't want to sell him, it was for FFP reasons. They had to sell a homegrown player for pure profit.

He was our player of the season last year. And he's cocky. His lack of pace is hardly new. Let him deal with that in his own way.

We needed to buy two pacey CBs this summer but we haven't done that and the results of our matches will reflect that in due time.

With Daka and Vardy out and no new striker in, it'll be very interesting to see whether Cooper goes with Cannon or not on Monday. If he puts Mavididi or someone else in there, I think that will give us a real indication of where he sees Cannon's place this season.

 

Personally I think that's what he'll do with Fatawu and Reid on the wings.

 

It's going to be a tough night, a long night, but Spurs are not exactly infallible themselves.

 

If we can pull off something special to beat them, it could set the tone for the rest of the season.

After telling the whole world that we desperately need attacking midfield talent, it would certainly be a bold move by Cooper to leave out Buonanotte.
