Give Brighton 20m and they would get at least 2 or 3 up and coming young talent from abroad who would be 10 times the value they paid for when they come to sell them

Exactly this. We had that crown with Pearsons and Walsh choosing signings. Why would'nt you try to get them or others back who know what they are doing.

If you know the game what has he done of note in any game he's played for us. Even Cooper has given up on him and we know how little he knows.

He loses possession too often offers nothing going forward and isn't strong enough in defense. So what does he bring to the Team. ?

What are you talking about?

I didn't agree or disagree with any of that.

What i said was your statement he's a Journey man was ridiculous considering he's 24.

I said nothing about the above.

I there is a player in Skipp, I think the issue is the coach is crap! You can see what Maresca did with Vestergard, KDH etc, Cooper just hasn’t got it

Now currently looking like a bit of a stupid transfer for £25m

Like when we signed him.

It's just unprofessional at this point.

Because for whatever justification you can dream up PL experience was the top of our new player attributes. Skipp, Ried, Eduardo, Ayew and Buonanotte.

Like the lad but he was crap today

Absolutely, today proved over priced & never needed.

I think 98% of the fan base would have thought we didn’t need him, so who countenanced this?.

Rudkin or Cooper? Would love to know?  But wow we could with that money now for January

My word he was shit but I feel like anyone would be at this point. Our lack of a clear plan is completely baffling.

I think he's going to be a decent player for us. But in a team that's as badly coached as ours evidently is, it's difficult to tell when it's the players own shortcomings or the way they're being made to play.  Winks and Skipp have pretty obviously different strengths and weaknesses, as such you'd expect (suspect!) that Cooper will have Winks playing the role differently to our other options.  So when Winks comes off injured, and Skipp is thrown in, is Skipp going into the team to do what Winks was supposed to do or is he going in to play to his own strengths?  We had 3 defensive mids on the pitch. One playing as a 10.  Is that Wilfs strength?  Soumare, much maligned, but clearly a good runner on the ball.  Is he being asked to do that?  So what is Skipp being asked to do?  Pretend he's Winks?  I don't know.  I don't think any of them do.  They were up against £200mill worth of players in Caicedo and Fernandez and then whatever ridiculous figure Palmer is valued at, so it's potentially a world class midfield they're competing with, but the battle plan seems to be to just throw bodies around, hope the opponent has an off day.  And Palmer did.  Cooper would have been better off just telling them to pick a player and sit on them.  All 3.  Would have been far more effective than just backing away until you're just defenders.

We already had enough midfielders before we signed skipp.

then you throw into the mix Soumare…. We’re stacked at CM.

if you needed a better example of the mismanagement of the club, it’s this signing.

£20 mill on someone who was not needed at all. Limited funds and we shell most of our budget on a CM who is not better than what we already have.

Top and Rudkin have got to go. The average person could run the club better.

I'm starting to wonder whether we had to buy a Spurs player for an inflated figure if we got promoted. Perhaps part of the Madison or Winks deal. I think there is a lot of dodgy transfer stuff going on so clubs can avoid the financial regulations. Skipp, who I quite like by the way, isn't a 25 million pound midfielder. He is good, perhaps worth 14 million. A solid player to have as a backup that you know will put a shift in for you.

I certainly don't think we should be turning on at him.

That would genuinly be absurd. So with that logic spurs get to underpay for Maddison and in return we overpay for winks and skipp lol. Not sure how that works. Having said that, I  wouldn’t put it past our board 😂

Up against a quarter of a billion pounds of top player and World cup winner. Lets not be too harsh. Ndidi was shite too, Soumare not much better. Totally outclassed

I understand the thinking, But you have to get the quality right also.  I'm think of the like of Huth, Evans, Cottee, Ferdinand, etc. proven quality.

Out of this years signings above Ayew and Reid are the only 2 with real prem experience. Buonanotte has real qualities but again we should have agreed a purchase price

if we wanted to buy him. ( Maybe they tried. ) Skipp is only starting out on his career but we paid way too much for him.

Eduardo could be an Asset but I feel he gave up on the game years ago and is only in it for the money.  We should send him back.

I've said it before the right Manager is where you first spend the money, Get that right and everything else slowly falls into place.

We really do need someone who knows players and the game at the Top, Otherwise we'll fiddle around for years hoping to get lucky.

Players getting trashed a lot but most of them are just playing how Cooper wants them too... if you think a player looks dull, negative, uninspiring... take a look at their manager.
