Don’t get me wrong he has been fairly shit, but given his reported wage 30k and length of contract I don’t think he is the worst ever signing by a long shot.

Daka was embarrassing up front, Ayew was embarrassing all over the pitch. He would actively seek out other areas of the pitch to stink out and then not be where he should be.
 

Away from the kpi’s, using the eye test, I feel Ayew had more of a negative impact on the performances.  A player that actively avoids passing to team mates in better positions, constantly cheats to break up our own play and then wastes time arguing when we needed goals and having to watch his set pieces for months.

I see what you mean but I kinda feel that we bought a mid thirties ayew whose legs had long gone and who was basically good at holding up the ball and winning free kicks. We then stuck him up front on his own and expected him to keep up.

 

Daka was bought as a young guy with a supposed exceptional goal record but who turned out to be unable to trap a bag of wet sand.

Yeah appearance bonuses, goal, assist, clean sheet, win bonuses and certain amount of goals bonuses are extremely common

One thing we're aware of is that our contracts are not like other clubs with performance bonuses and the like. We offer big money up front, guaranteed no matter what.

He is now is joint most appearances for Ghana and will no doubt be most capped soon, 2nd top scorer in their history and is going to the World cup. His abilities have always been limited but at 34 after the season he has had, I would also be walking around beaming thinking Im off to the World Cup.
