Gordon making a great start, Southgate wouldn’t play him

Had to get Foden in somehow despite the fact he never does anything for England.

Who could have known that this team needed some pace out wide?

(apart from everyone whose name wasn’t Southgate)

trying to jemmy in all the best players irrelevant of their form and fitness  cost us again

My BIL went to school with Lee Carsley and says he's a top bloke.

That's good enough for me. Give him the job.

Decent half, certainly an improvement on the euros in terms of actually getting forward and playing some slick football lol one game I know but if we still had Southgate it would be 0-0 or 1-0 Ireland for sure just hoping on a bit of quality to bail him out

Always makes me laugh when the home nations and Ireland feel like they have a chance because of their 'passion' and we turn up and roll them over

Easy to say Southgate wouldn't have done this or that but it was only in tournaments when he went ultra defensive. However good to see TAA starting, he would've pulled out under Southgate.

It's quite amusing as a Scotsman watching the reactions in here...

Players played in their strongest positions, playing good football, winning... you lot don't know what to do with yourselves, do ya? The urge to find something to moan about is reducing some to criticising players for not celebrating enough!

Fingers crossed someone, ideally Rice, sticks the mother of all reducers on Coleman second half

These days he definitely plays like he's bitter because he's not very good any more.

He was ultra defensive throughout qualifying and nations league the last few years
