Yet again.  Such a drag.  I just want to see us play again soon now we're on a 'winning streak'

The alternative is watching football like the 2nd half then make the international break longer I say

It's Thanksgiving next weekend here in Canada so we have a long weekend coming up. With hockey and basketball getting started I have other things to cheer for.

Looking forward to detailing my car next weekend too!

What basketball? NBA starts on 22nd.

It also feels that Southampton need this international break to tweak a few things.

I think they could easily come good with a few small altercations to their game.

Martin is 6’1 mate, wouldn’t say he’s small…

100%

Love basketball and it's my team. Tough season ahead but looking forward to see the young squad grow together.

I believe that Buononotte has been called up to the Argentinian squad… they play Bolivia 3 days before our game against Southampton

I know it's selfish but I don't want any of our players to go off and play for their countries.  LCFC should come first when we need as many points as possible so don't take away our best prospect for goals at the moment

What's it for? Friendly League again?

Problem is, the vast majority of players want to be fit for their clubs, so these games end up just being shit international snooze fests.

Couple of weeks off the footy for me usually as no way I can be arsed to watch England.

🎵 “The International Break Blues” 🎵

(Verse 1)

Well, I woke up this morning, feeling kinda low,
No Premier League action, nowhere to go.
The stadiums are empty, the pubs are quiet too,
Oh, these international breaks, they really make me blue.

(Chorus)

I've got the international break blues,
No Messi, no Ronaldo, just transfer news.
I'm checking my fantasy team, but it's all in vain,
Oh, bring back the EPL, end this football pain!

(Verse 2)

I tried watching qualifiers, but it's just not the same,
San Marino vs. Liechtenstein? What's in a name?
And the pundits analyze every pass and cross,
But my heart longs for Anfield, the Kop in full voice.

(Chorus)

I've got the international break blues,
No Messi, no Ronaldo, just transfer news.
I'm checking my fantasy team, but it's all in vain,
Oh, bring back the EPL, end this football pain!

(Bridge)

I miss the banter with mates, the banter with foes,
The last-minute winners, the highs, the lows.
The smell of the grass, the roar of the crowd,
Instead, I'm stuck with friendlies in some far-off town.

(Chorus)

I've got the international break blues,
No Messi, no Ronaldo, just transfer news.
I'm checking my fantasy team, but it's all in vain,
Oh, bring back the EPL, end this football pain!

(Outro)

So here's to the return of league football soon,
To goals, red cards, and VAR's endless tune.
Till then, I'll strum my guitar and sing my refrain,
Oh, these international break blues—they're driving me insane!

🎶 Cue harmonica fade-out… 🎶

More a better reason to get down your local non league club, if you got one that is. Can imagine if you live in leicester itself your local team non league wise would Friar lane and epworth?

Used to hate the international break, pointless and nothing but an inconvenience.

Then over recent years my interest in Leicester and football in general waned and whilst still going to matches, I quite enjoyed and really looked forward to the breaks.

However, I was quite happily thinking this was the last international break until March(?), then I found out there was another one in November! Which is utterly ridiculous. No wonder teams struggle for form and can't get in any rhythm.

Then you have cries about "too many games" and player welfare, players pulling out of the international games, dare I say feigning injuries, speaks volumes about the importance (Or lack of) of the international games.
