I'm Loughborough side too and Forest putting us, F A Cup champions, out with a proper thrashing still haunts me now.

 

Cooper had the Forest team fired up for that game and as soon as I found out he was to be our manager, I longed for the day that he could guide us to a win over his old team.

As far as put downs go, the "you're too insignificant to be our rivals" line is a good one.  Especially when we are being eschewed in favour if Derby bloody County.  We have to admit, it has many of us on strings.

It's highly likely he is a confused soul and a secret Leicester supporter.

 

To that end I don't see forest as a rival never have done, it's just a game. Yes they are irritating and close to being one of the most hated fan bases in  the premier league due to them being stuck in the past and arrogant, let them I think they have been out of the top flight longer than being in it.

 

Someone has to support them I guess. I hope they have a good season but I also don't care if they done haha.

Anecdotal I know, but of the 3 Forest fans I know, all 3 dislike us. 1 would even say more so than Derby. But then there are geographically closer to Leicestershire. I'm sure most Forest fans near the Derbyshire border don't care about us.

 

The only Leicester fans who Cov even register for are ones in and around Hinckley.

 

I've never been too fussed about Derby because we always seem to beat them. Forest on the other hand, there's been a few great wins and bitter defeats in recent times. The 3-2 defeat at the City ground, circa 2011, lives rent free in my mind.
