Soar Fox Posted 12 November 2024 Posted 12 November 2024 He won’t be in the running, but I always liked Colin Murray on MOTD2 2
Wymsey Posted 12 November 2024 Posted 12 November 2024 (edited) Would like it to be Manish Bhasin. Leicester-born, plus did The Football League Shows years ago with Steve Claridge often the main guest. Edited 12 November 2024 by Wymsey 1
Super_horns Posted 12 November 2024 Posted 12 November 2024 People want less chat and more action (if possible) don't they and who likes Refs watch?! https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/gary-lineker-leaves-matchoftheday-replacements-34089206 1
splinterdream Posted 12 November 2024 Posted 12 November 2024 wouldn't it have been great if Chris Kamara to get it, loved his analysis on Sunday mornings

Always thought he was a strong presenter. Edited 12 November 2024 by Wymsey

Personally I don't really think Lineker believes what he says, or cares about what impact it may have on others, or how he might be hypocritical in some of his views, but I'm happy for him to say what he wants, along as i don't have to pay his wages which gives him a platform, a status as such which carries an element of influence. Really I'm more against the licence fee than I am against Lineker and his views.
murphy Posted 12 November 2024 Posted 12 November 2024 I only watch motd when Leicester win, so this is all irrelevant to me. 2
Super_horns Posted 13 November 2024 Posted 13 November 2024 (edited) Well the Sun day Mark Chapman doesn’t want the job . Apparently they wanted him to share it with Kelly Sommers . So probably be announced next as the new host week then ! Edited 13 November 2024 by Super_horns

It's a bit concerning that such a good number of the population are keen on Alan Carr gameshows and watching people watch and analyse programmes themselves (Gogglebox), tbh.. 2

Like most things nowadays I just record it then watch it when I fancy. I still find it a good watch and easy way to keep up on the other matches. I still find it relevant. Of course I have always been proud that it is a Leicester lad fronting it. I’ve always found him a bit of an uncomfortable watch. Like watching your dad dancing but in the same breath I also find that quite comforting. He has done it for so long. Match of the day won’t be the same.
