IMO they’ll streamline it in order to appeal to the scrolling generation who have severely depleted attention spans.

Less studio punditry - maybe only the “main” 3-4 games will get talked about. The games down the running order will

just be brief highlights VTs.

Like back in the day then. Early 90s it was three main games with minor highlights for the rest

Yeah with some youtube nitwit in the corner of the screen over-reacting to everything.

Less chat more highlights.  Also they will have rights to show highlights at the same time as Sky apparently.

Probably found people want more highlights than chat ?

I'd love MOTD to be just highlights with a mid-week programme that rivals Sky's MNF to go more in depth.

Looks like it is going to be Kelly Cates, Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman sharing the role from next season.

Decent line-up.

Decent line-up.

They are genuinely the three best presenters out there. Could be a cop out, by not picking one, but I think it’s good.

I like Kelly Cates, always thought she’s Sky’s best presenter so happy to see her on MOTD.

Should’ve just gone with chappers. Not sure how they can  grow a rapport with viewers with alternating presenters. However it could’ve been worse.

I imagine viewing figures are at an all time low

I certainly do.  I actually mute and go and get a drink when the ultra micro analysis takes place.  Quite simply.....boring.  More footage, less talk

No idea.  Id rather it was 50 mins of football and no slobber rather than sit through gobshites waiting for city who are invariably toward the end of the hour and half show

Because he speaks out about injustice what's so wrong with that? If he said something about Russia the beeb wouldn't bat an eye lid,but as soon it's  Israel, completely different, the beeb are are biased to Israel anyway!!! This just highlights why they wanted him out of MOTD! It's not just  Gary linkear who are comdeming  Israel, there now alot of people, who starting to open there eyes to see what Israel are!!!

The BBC are under huge pressure by the right wing media, who hate what Lineker thinks. It's a shame because there are very few out there on the left and centre who speak out nowadays. They'll sadly hound him out one way or another.

I think the BBC’s impartiality rules may say otherwise on the areas he is particularly passionate about. He’s a decent human being and I am proud he’s from Leicester.
