Option 1 with free scarfs provided at most games instead of clappers

We don't need anything free. We're there to watch a football game and support the team. All these gimmicky type of stuff just distract from people trying to create an atmosphere. No offence to you posting, just mean in general

Were these options presented by the club or was it the options presented by FT?

Presented to the club by UFS and the Trust.

I should add that the club haven't responded to this or even acknowledged receipt of the document, which contains data, graphics etc. That will be a surprise to everyone I know!

Yeah, I don't think any leicester fan will be holding their breath.

Option 1 100%. It's the only option that might give us a chance of creating an atmospheric kop. The same kind of thing at Southampton looked great.

I think the club will see it as too much hassle … let’s say 2/3k want to stay and stand. Where do the other thousands go?

Into the seats vacated by people who want to move into the new standing area. That makes up a significant portion of the people that want to stand in the future.

It would take some doing but it's possible.

I think we'd all be amazed if they went for option 1.  I still think they'll just stick a few rails in the places that fans stand in now....thats if they do anything at all.

I hope we do it but I can just see the club trying to do as little as possible for minimal disruption

It’s coming!

With the publication by LCFC of the minutes of the Fans Advisory Board meeting on 16 October 2024 we can now let you have more information about the plans that aim to have safe standing at the King Power Stadium for the start of the 2025/26 season.

Safe Standing at the King Power Stadium – Foxes Trust

Good news for a change !! Well done the trust and ufs for pushing the club on this.

Whilst i would love a full standing end of 7000 and Southampton's looks the business, do we have 7000 that want to stand? This isn't me being a downer, im genuinely asking are there currently 7000 that stand in sk1, g1, L1 and P blocks?

Im assuming this has been surveyed and taken into account?

Id rather have a solid block of standers in say, sk1 and g1 rather than a whole end where some will still sit.  That would make no sense.

Also im assuming some tickets will be set aside for members in the standing area, like they currently do in the singing section?

Anyone....well done again.  Looking forward to it getting done.....for the cat c games i attend..(I've drawn the line at the prices for cat a and b games )

If they reduce the prices of tickets for the safe standing areas then I’m sure they’d get more people in

True enough.....but when do prices ever go down

Option 2 could lend itself to something like the set up they have at Arminia Bielefeld, would like that.

My 'guess' would be that's the option the club would go for.

No evidence to back it up, just my guess on what I think their preference would be.

Within our article it details some timelines...

December 2024

  • Fan consultation and implications to current seating locations
  • Confirm costs and implications to other stadium users and how to mitigate those implications

Seems logical that the club will choose option 2.... keep most of the sitters in the kop happy, cheap to do and easy upgrade to option 1 if proves successful.

Congrats to all who have campaigned and fought long and hard for this :) :appl:

If the club wants to minimise resistance then it will be option 3 as most of us in that area stand anyway including the singing section.

Personally I’m all in favour; having something to lean on will give me a few more years standing to watch my football before the blanket and flask come out 🤣.

So no improvement to atmosphere

Keeping the current seats in place seems like an oversight to me.

They all need replacing anyway

Heaven forbid KPFC don’t do something in a completely half-arsed way.
