Overjoyed for a moment and then the reality of who comes next brought me down to earth.

I thought appointing him was an uninspiring choice from the off, and results have confirmed it.

How good is Puel now looking in comparison to Cooper? Maresca left a team that was confident (although snatching KDH was a shit way of saying ta-ta) and now that confidence needs rebuilding and a semblance of stability bringing back to the squad. I got the feeling he was playing whack-a-mole - picking random players to see if x or y combination worked. Fatawu is a huge loss for us an all. We need someone who's a leader and a steadying influence - who doesn't look at his watch when choosing to sub. Moyes would be an excellent choice. Let's hope the board can make a more imaginative choice this time round. Everyone cross fingers.

The only reasons I have heard for keeping him from the media were that we weren't in the bottom three (maybe not for this week) and we were competitive in games (debateable). Nothing about style of play and improvement in performances.

Fact is that teams below are closing the gap very quickly and leeway was almost gone. If we were to go into the bottom three on current form and displays I don't think we get out.

Worst manager since tater peeler.

I couldn't work out who "tater peeler" was until I looked back at the list of City managers. As soon as I saw the name Peter Taylor I laughed me head off. I bet he was shit at spud bashing as well.

People assume Tater Peeler is Peter Taylor but it was actually the late great Sven

Little known fact about Sven is that he owned an empire of potatoe growing farms

I remember Gallagher saying how great pre season was as sousa didn't really value fitness, they they didn't have any gruelling training sessions. It was all about touch. Which was great until we started actually playing football and we all looked knackered after 30 mins....

I remember that too 😂. Wasn't it something like "I've never had preseason like this, we normally start football stuff on week 2 or 3 but we've gone straight in with ball work".

I really have no confidence in this getting better. This really is not a relief. Top owns two clubs and sat through a two week break then sacks both managers in a couple of days.

He's going to fvck up both clubs. Double relegation incoming.

Imagine the interviews. What job are you here for? Well leicester will pay more but the beer is better in Belgium. Which one do you think I should go for?

What we need more than anything is a manager who will coach the lads to 1) get stuck in, 2) bang as many balls into the mixer as possible and 3) always give him 110%. This is the modern management style we’re sorely looking needing imho
