So, how are ethe media team going to announce this one. Coopers announcement seemed like a rushed job by an apprentice that was leaving in a few hours.

I think the club will make big song and dance on this one as it's Tops pick.

#Ruuuuuuddddddd (seeing I'm getting there with enthusiasm)

He's got charisma. That should hopefully give the players a lift in the short term. I'm expecting a ding-dong battle against Brentford.

He won the Dutch cup and finished second with PSV. Some might say that's about par for the course. But we've seen other teams besides them, Feyenoord and Ajax do well in that league before so it's still an achievement.

What's unknown about him is if he can translate the limited success he's had into the medium or long term. Do we actually need to worry about that? Probably not right now. If vibes keep us up and he gets poached then job done.

At least he will give us a system to play and a positive outlook. Players will know their positions and responsibilities and hopefully in January we get new blood in and get rid of the dead wood wous faes included

Could we have a song for him. Rudie can't fail by the Clash. Rude he can't fail would be the inspiration. Words needed. Will pop something on later if it is a starter.

He’s certainly a legend of the game, but isn’t particularly young in terms of management and has done nothing.

Those reading into anything during his 4 games at Man Utd are mad. Totally different managing a side full time to a few games picking the team (far more talented than ours).

It’s certainly a gamble. There were plenty trying to pretend Cooper was great when we got him, seeing the same again.

I’m on the fence with this.

I do have my reservations about Ruud. Not sure he'll have enough to keep us up. But saying that when Cooper was appointed, I wasn't impressed at all.

I'll back him and give him time, and hopefully he can shift those reservations I have. The team around him is vitally important. I don't expect a Rooney/Lumpard/Gerrard type of failure, he has a lot more about him then that and gone the right way round about learning his trade. It's a big step for him as well.

I'll get behind him and let's be positive this season. One thing I will say, he won't take people chatting back at him!

Our managerial appointments are literally pulled out of a bag.

Zero long term vision or plan.

Sounds like we've been interested in him for a while, which is a positive at least. Rather than just pumping for a name who had a few good games managing Man U.

It's unfathomable though that we just aren't tracking managers all around Europe who fit exactly what we want our style to be. We seem to say this year after year after year.

It's definitely a roll of the dice but we were going down under Cooper so nothing to lose in that sense, particularly as there aren't any significantly better candidates who would be likely to come to us atm
