The Wolves game was the only one we expected to get something out of and didn’t - and it was embarrassing. People calling for his head already or saying he was the wrong appointment - have a word with yourself. He was never going to turn us into world beaters. Look what he has to work with and hold your nerve!

I think the idea is to probably go 3 at the back and have the fullbacks push forward to help get something.

Cooper was shocking.  He had a pre-season and a transfer window and we still looked abysmal under him for the most part. 

 

In fact, the longer he was in charge the worse we looked, and that's my biggest criticism.  Absolutely no sign of a plan or progression.  And, whether you agree or not on the perfomances, it was abundantly clear the players had given up on him. So, no, we had zero chance of staying up under Cooper.  As for Ruud, it's far too early to tell.

Our problem against Wolves wasn’t attacking intent. It was our defensive mistakes. Vardy got in behind multiple times.

 

We struggled in the second half which is expected when you’re 3-0 down.

What chance do we have if we concede 3+ goals a game, none! Look at Everton, piss poor but hard to beat, we are piss poor and easy to beat…. Got no chance under Ruud, or probably anyone this season - but especially not Ruud

The selection of Ward is a black mark. Removing Faes a positive. Hope he is able to have Winks and Ndidi together at some point.

 

Think he will either walk or be binned in a desperate hope to get a bounce around March.

i honestly dont know what you expect, i certainly dont think we'd have won under cooper against West Ham nor got a point against Brighton

Who’s going to come in and make Okoli, Coady, Justin, Kristiansen, Vesty, Faes etc into competitive Premier League players?

 

The squad, especially in defence is not good enough. Ruud needs to bring in his own players, possibly a complete new back four in my eyes.

People moaning about  RVN subs but who else was he going to bring on off the bench  to win the game . Obviously Winks had to come off as not fully fit . Edouard  is shiiit . Facundo came on,  BDR  came on  whose not great but the only other option was  Will coming on whose still unproven . I know people are screaming out for him to play but more than one manager now hasn’t  so there has got to be a reason .

Sorry, but that’s a ridiculous take. There was a very clear plan, and like it or not, it was the one that stood the most chance of working given the difference in quality.

He's working with a pathetic squad with 3 or 4 of it's best players injured. But he's still making very strange decisions which is making it very hard to get totally behind him.

Cooper was given a team with a structure used to playing in a certain style which got the best out of the players we had.  He spent the entire preseason dismantling that style of play for his preferred method, for which we didn't have the players to do or he didn't know how to coach it, take your pick.  We brought players in the window which didn't fit into his preferred system , a system that he later abandoned.

Now we have Ruud who has come in to a side where the structure has been lost, the positivity of promotion is no longer a thing and even if he decided he'd want to go back to the system that got the best out of the players we have, three key players to that system are injured, 2 long term.   His preseason is now.  There's little to no time during the Christmas pile up to train much into the players.  It's way too early to get on his case.

He's lost one game which we'd have expected to get something from.  And that was largely down to the aforementioned injuries. 

After Villa we've got 11 days before Palace at home (I'm ignoring QPR in the cup).  The window is open and the onus is to make those games count.  Home to Fulham, Away  to Spurs, Away to Everton Feb 1st.  After those, with the Jan window done, we'll see where we're at.

It's too early to tell if he's a Lampard or an Alonso.

My only gripe with the selections is not starting Buonanotte when available and starting Ward. Other than that what else can he do? Were crap.

I will spare judgement on him until after the January transfer window. 
 

They’ll be plenty of fans frustrated with what they are seeing, but RVN has his hands tied when it comes to certain areas.

 

I’d love to see Justin get dropped, but the only alternative is an out of position Hamza Choudhury - Not ideal. 
 

Our alternatives to Coady, Vestergaard and Kristiansen are Faes, Okoli and Thomas - Not ideal. 
 

Our alternatives to Mavididi and Ayew are the likes of Reid and McAteer - Not ideal. 
 

Our alternative to Daka tonight was Edouard - Not ideal. 
 

It doesn’t matter who the manager is, at the end of the day, we currently have the squad depth of a Championship standard team.

Ruud did well tonight. Dropped Ward from the squad completely so reacted well. I think the reaction to the line up was OTT. Bilal is our player so focus on him, Buo is good but isnt massivley better than Bilal. Ayew defensively is better as well. 
 

Also talks sense in his post match interview, lets hope he gets funds as the squad serioulsy lacking quality at the min, its almost embarrassing

Our depth is horrendous at this level. We need a very good transfer window to have any chance of surviving this season.
