Anyone know if he clapped the fans after the Brighton game, or if he just walked off again?

Walked straight off

That alone should see him gone. How can fans build a relationship with a manager in those circumstances?

Even if he doesn't want to, it's the absolute least he should do.

Not surprised but just confirmation that there's no vision, guidance or planning coming from the top of the hierarchy.

spot on mate.

Beggars belief seriously

Him staying is enough to keep me away.

It needs to be a fresh start, Pearson type appointment. Someone fans want to get behind and someone who gives us a lift.

Annoyingly no can say they are surprised.

No leadership from the club and they are clueless. They need to get their act together now. Have a long term plan, a vision and start to get it moving now, not sit on your hands for tomorrow's problem. Absolute incompetence

Goes along with what I have been told that RVN has tried to get out but we haven't accepted a settlement. I assumed it was money related, but if that's true then it's just Top doubling down on his poor appointment because he stepped in and hand picked this one and won't accept reality. Which given the delusion at board level would fit well.

Customer (fan):

I wish to register a complaint!

Shopkeeper (club spokesman):

Ah, yes, Mr. van Nistelrooy... what seems to be the problem?

Customer:

I'll tell you what's the problem, my lad. This manager is FINISHED! That’s what’s wrong with him!

Shopkeeper:

Oh no, no, no! He’s just resting! Long season, bit tired, you know how it is.

Customer:

RESTING?! Look, matey, I know a gaffer on the brink when I see one, and I'm looking at the managerial equivalent of a fish supper left out in the sun! He’s not resting, he’s EX-MANAGING!

Shopkeeper:

No, no! Remarkable man, Van Nistelrooy. Brilliant football brain!

Customer:

BRILLIANT? He played Danny Ward in a relegation six pointer! If that’s brilliant then I’m Pep in disguise!

Look, I’ve had it. I've watched Leicester try to pass out from the back so many times I'm convinced the defenders think the goal line is a fashion runway! And don't even get me started on substitutions—he brings on strikers like he's assembling IKEA furniture: all the wrong parts in all the wrong places!

Shopkeeper:

He’s got a long-term vision!

Customer:

VISION?! The only vision he’s got is watching the Championship table upside down and thinking we’re top! This isn’t a tactical mastermind, this is a man playing Football Manager on random!

Shopkeeper:

You’re exaggerating.

Customer:

Exaggerating?! I’d get more tactical nuance from a Labrador with a clipboard! His press conferences are just a series of baffled grunts and the phrase “we go again.” Go again?! GO WHERE? Back to League One?!

Shopkeeper:

He’ll turn it around!

Customer:

Turn it around?! He couldn’t turn around a shopping trolley in a supermarket aisle! This manager has ceased to be! He’s shuffled off his managerial coil, he’s kicked the tactical bucket, he is an ex-manager!

“Both sides wanted RVN to continue”

Rudkin: “Ruud I was wondering whether you were interested in carrying on doing the job you’re paid a small fortune for without any real consequences?”

Ruud: “erm… yes please”

Not a chance he's here for the first game of the season.

They didn't keep Dean Smith after relegation who made a decent effort of sorting out Rodgers mess.

Yeah but we can't afford to sack him until the new financial period starts lol

Your confidence is admirable. I wish I shared it. Personally I find it very plausible that they haven’t decided yet and that our results from now until the end of the season may still have a bearing on Ruud’s future with us.
