No, no, no. Today showed me he doesn't have a scooby. We looked lost in midfield, no shape in there or tactic to get out, lineup was wrong and didn't work. Ayew shouldn't be a 10 from the start.

So I'm still not convinced. He's only beaten the two relegated sides. Actually, that's a point. Doesn't this improve on Cooper?

We won 2-0 and Ayew had a decent game? You can't please some.

No point changing if there’s no change in the hierarchy.

RvN is one of the top flights worst ever managers, of course it's worth changing him. Are you suggesting that as long as Rudkin and Top are here we should keep him?

We won, yes. But Ayew was poor. Especially in the first half, positioning was awful, he always slows down the play, passes back. He's not a starter, yet Ruud can't see that. There wasn't anything from the midfield and the win painted over the cracks for me.

We lost the midfield battles. When our defenders had the ball there wasn't an outlet. Ndidi, Ayew and Soulmate were standing still next to Ipswich players. There were gaps that none were exploiting.

Sorry. :(

Ruud isn't the answer.

3 games ago I was 100% Ruud out. For some inexplicable reason I'm now wondering whether with some backing he could do okay next season. 🙃

Absolutely extraordinary.

It's definitely a Stockholm syndrome thing with a good 20k of our 28k crowd.

We played another relegated team, who looked pretty tame. There’s no identity about this team at all.

We need a reset and a manager that can coach and take us into a new era. The next Nigel Pearson. Hard to find, mind.

And you expect this unicorn to be delivered by the minds that brought us Cooper and Ruud?

I must have been the only one who thought we played well. Ipswich are going to be up there with favourites to win the Championship next season, and we beat then 2-0.

See I think there is an emerging identity. Yes we'll lose some players, and we need to bring many in, but its clear to see that in the past 3 games we've done alright. 2 wins and a draw can't be sniffed at for a team as shocking as we've been.

He’ll probably end up staying but he showed no real acumen to take something from the games that mattered when we were still connected to the rest of the PL.  These games put a slight positive slant on everything but no judgement should be made on any of these games. The club will have to make some announcements after next Sunday as at some point we do have to plan for next season otherwise before you know it July will arrive and we’ll be flaying around for players and maybe even a manager.

Funny how that “identity” emerges when we’re relegated already?

And those came against Southampton, Forest (who basically played with ten men towards the latter stages) and already relegated Ipswich……. That’s absolutely nothing to shout about.

I am astonished that a couple of games vs already relegated sides with nothing to play for are somehow persuading people that he is the right man for a promotion push.

If Ipswich could finish then today could have been a pretty heavy defeat. They missed some really, really good chances. The issues that have led to record breaking losing/non-scoring runs were all apparent again today.

And as for team selections...

So just go get the next Cooper, the next Ruud? The rot is not at the manager, even if he individually underwhelms.

He's shite. We've beaten two shitter teams than us. Ipswich xg was more than ours today, they just can't finish.

Baffles me people want to keep him based on two wins when the opposition is on the beach.

To be fair, neither did the club when we were 2 points off Wolves in January

He is one symptom of a much bigger problem, I don't think anybody is disputing that... but it is imperative that we bounce back immediately, and first a foremost we need a manager capable of leading and rebuilding from this disastrous season.

Defensively we are all over the place, and the midfield is about as stagnant as I've ever seen a midfield which then stifles the attack.

If it’s not Ruud, then anyone else going to be a different punt anyway. Feels a tricky situation.  :dunno:

Managers these days lose their job if they don’t have a win in 5 or 6 games.
This prat has lost 17 of 19 games and not scored in 9 consecutive home games.
It shouldn’t be under consideration for him to be in charge next season. He shouldn’t have lasted this season.

The build up or lack of clear patterns is the main issue. Plus, how long it took him to change the line up or try something else? Not impressed. No point being sentimental over some dead-rubber games.

Handled himself well given the issues and false promises but there's more doubts over him than some of the managers we've linked with.
