Sly Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2024/12/08/crystal-palace-in-transfer-tussle-to-sign-ryan-kent/ Crystal Palace are eager to explore a move for free agent Ryan Kent as two other Premier League rivals are vying for the ex-Liverpool star’s signature. According to Fichajes, Ryan Kent has been garnering plenty of attention from some of the Premier League sides ahead of January. Crystal Palace are considering a move for the 28-year-old ex-Liverpool forward, while Ipswich Town and Leicester City are also in the mix for the free agent. Some might remember Ryan Kent for his stint with Liverpool and Rangers after that, as the versatile attacker is now a free agent. The 28-year-old ex-Liverpool forward left Fenerbahce back in October as he was deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho. Given the timing of his exit from the Turkish side, it was difficult to find a new suitor immediately, as the January window represents the best chance to do that. Leicester City and Ipswich Town are in the race to bring the free agent back to the Premier League, as they view the 28-year-old ex-Liverpool forward as an option that gives them something different in the attacking third as well as improving their depth. The relegation battlers are eager to take advantage of the unique opportunity to get the forward for no cost whatsoever, although they face competition from Crystal Palace. Oliver Glasner’s side is set for a busy January transfer window and could sign players in a number of key positions. Palace now view Kent as an opportunity to improve their attacking lineup as well as add to the depth. The London outfit will aim to leapfrog their fellow bottom-half rivals like Ipswich Town and Leicester City, as they could put forward an offer for the 28-year-old ex-Liverpool forward to join them.

RowlattsFox Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 I know we need a winger but lets not get desperate and give another player a contract. Wait until Jan and resolve the problem properly. 1
Stadt Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 He's crap. 0.35 G+A per 90 with the bulk of his career in a weak league. Swerve swerve swerve 1
Stevosevic Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 No way RVN would be interested. Has Cooper interest all over it.
Leicesterpool Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 free so can't lose really, if he's crap then least we haven't paid a transfer fee. If he's good then like Albrighton a good bit of business.

Stuntman_Mike Posted 9 December 2024 Posted 9 December 2024 Rangers fans wouldn't want him back in the Scottish league and he won the title with them. No chance he comes here 1

You don't pay a transfer fee, but likely he'll still want a pretty healthy signing on fee

Jimmy Posted 10 December 2024 Posted 10 December 2024 if he is a free agent we don't need to wait until January, that said no thanks
Muzzy_no7 Posted 10 December 2024 Posted 10 December 2024 He isn’t any better than what we’ve got and has a poor work rate. Close thread.
