coolhandfox Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 Probably better then what we have but we need to stop collecting older CB, unless we can move some on. 3
RoboFox Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 Wouldn't be averse to this. Would be an upgrade on anything we have currently. 1
pmcla26 Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 Could see him playing right-back for us as opposed to centre-back. He shifts across and Kristiansen bombs on. 1

Agree . I’d like us to scout for the likes of Fofana and make the appropriate financial commitment ( hopefully not a nob like Fofana) . No value in this as a signing and he’s crap as well

Popular Post SouthStandUpperTier Posted 13 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 13 December 2024 Not a good sign that a nearly 37 year-old Jonny Evans is ahead of him in the United pecking order. 15
StanSP Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 Did Lindelof play under RVN in his short time managing there?

HankMarvin Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 On 120k a week, better deals for younger better players to be had 1
JimJams Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 Out of contract in the Summer. So if this is a signing for then, then great, think about it more down the line. If it's for January then you just wait for Man Utd to concede paying him off and letting him go early. Which probably doesn't happen cos financially they're up shit creek on transfers. Unless they just can't register him after they've done their January business.

JimmyC74 Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 He has never really established himself at Yanited and played less games this season than Evans. That said he probably is an upgrade on what we have, can also pay right back and comfortable on the ball, so I wouldn't be unhappy with a loan.
AyewJoking Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 and heres me hoping Ruud has a few contacts to some young, cheap players who he can develop and sell on for mega profit 1
Sly Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 He’s better than what we have. Not really an ideal use of a loan signing though. I’d rather sell Faes and bring Souttar back.

Iran Posted 13 December 2024 Posted 13 December 2024 (edited) Yes please. This will most likely be a direct pick out by RVN and address our area of concern, the defence. Edited 13 December 2024 by Iran

Otherwise we might as well stick with Vesty and even Coady. It's good that he's doing well at Sheffield Utd, but I'd prefer he goes there than comes back tbh. He's proving value to them, but I'd rather get a fee we can hopefully better spend. Though I agree on selling Faes.

Firstly, we have a scouting and recruitment dept. Manager should not have total say in transfers. Secondly, we can do better than Lindelöf. He's rarely stood out in a below par Man Utd team, he'll cost a fortune and he's injury prone.
Jon the Hat Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 I will trust the boss on this one, we are not the most talented at the back.
Hot Since 1882 Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 (edited) I forgot Victor Lindelof was a footballer - he can't get a game for Evan's at Man U.. (Evan's was always origanly U21 boss - not 3rd choice CB) I know the answer - For 6 months to keep you up - you'd rather a 41 yo Evans or Victor Lindelof? Man U have go them so deep in trouble regarding PSR - same as Newcastle have, but it's not publicised. Man U - McTominay to Napoli is glossed over - replaced for 55M Ugarte, and a 60M injured 18 CB. AyewJoking Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 better than what we have but thats because what we have is will get us relegated
