There's no point trying to avoid it upsetting anyone. Someone is going to get upset but the time is here or very near for major protest.

What starts off as 100 one week will snowball. It will quickly grow. That Christmas payment news will irk others who were previously may have stood back.

I think the need for a protest (not even a major one) consistently for at least a year. As I said elsewhere, the problem is, there’s a want to over organise.

There will be those who oppose and appreciate at times in the past they have been quite aggressive just to fans who want to express an opinion.

The thing is right now, we are doing nothing of note. Perhaps (and including myself here) waiting for someone else to organise.

why we can’t go a bit old school. Agree a chant, agree a time, agree a location - show up. If it’s 50 people it’s better than nothing. It’s a start. Let it grow from there. But it needs to be every single week or at least every home game.

my suggestion:

2pm - 45 minutes.

outside fan store - carry it into the ground.

Chant: We Want Top out.

Feed in/make changes/propose suggestion - agree on a plan.

That’s it. Not sure why it can’t be spread and attended. Like I said elsewhere - I might be naive but isn’t this similar to how they use to do it back in the day. No Instagram, Twitter etc. just word of mouth. As it grows, get more creative with the protest.

And I get what people are saying - boycott is also a vital tool but there will always be people in the ground - attack on two fronts.

I personally think any major change demonstrated by fans won’t be massive whilst this season is played out.

Derogatory chants being avoided, I completely agree.

However waiting until the season is over is just an poor excuse for people not actually wanting change. You'll never see significant change if we're relying on people coming down to the stadium mid-June. Protests and campaigns for change have to be inpactful

I'm afraid the only form of mass protest that really makes a difference is a financial one. ie people stop buying season tickets, completely boycott the club shop, don't buy any food etc at the ground and for non-season ticket holders to stop buying tickets to matches.

Otherwise taunts at the matches, though they might feel good to do at the time as a sort of release probably don't make a huge difference as the fan base is always likely to be split.

I was heading out to the shop yesterday and was about to grab my Leicester Jacket.

When I realized the King Power logo was on it I looked for another.

Paying your staff late is the act of a dying business. Pay HMRC late, pay suppliers late and it doesn’t affect your day to day business until suppliers put you on stop. Pay your staff late and they down tools and morale drops instantly.

if it was “to bring payment dates in line with the rest of the KP group” then why tell them the day before pay day? Tell them before so they can plan.

Our club is fecked.

Playing Devils Advocate here but in truth the staff have not been payed late until the December 31st.

See on facebook all the Top fans are out in force more or less fawning over him because he won polo gold with Thailand.

Didn't realise cuckolding was such a popular pastime in Leicestershire these days

If I normally met you at the ground at 1pm but next week told you I'd be there for 12.00 .

Would you consider me late if I turned up at 1pm anyway ?

Delighted for him, Now that he's got that out of the way maybe he he might devout his time to sorting out the mess we're in.

Starting with putting in place a proper structure of proven winners taking the Club forward again with players who will fight for the Club and the Fans.

So many on here want KP out yet still buy a ST

Make it make sense

Do you go to watch your football team because you want to or because of who owns your football club?

I suppose for many fans their love for the club is so deeply embedded that it’s not something they can switch off and on depending on how they feel about the owners. In exactly the same way that fans across the world keep showing up when they’re pissed off with the people who run their clubs.

Supporting a football club is not a rational choice that can be changed like choosing to shop in a different supermarket. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t ‘make sense’ to you?

They are now charlatans running our club, like SiSU.  To be fair to your fans,  many stopped going when you moved out of the Ricoh - as a protest against the owners - but ours wouldn’t do that

It was also poor low down League 1 and League 2 football that helped. We did have a fair few that travelled to Northampton and watched from a hill without going in where you could see a fair bit of the pitch.

The problem is it didn't get rid of them. It didn't even stop them from taking us out of our city again when we went to Birmingham. The protests kept us in the spotlight and kept getting us into the news. This had more of an effect.

The reality is the only effect it has outside the supporters is people go 'oh, what a shame what's happened to Leicester/Coventry etc.' and move on with their lives.

It's only when it's the big clubs that people pay any attention.

Top's running the club into the ground but I think fans who think he's going to sell up soon will be disappointed. I imagine he'll believe he had a big part to play in our success and will back himself to get us back there (which he won't).

Doesn’t matter in my eyes.

The way we’re heading we won’t have a club to support in 5 years, then what will these folk do? The same stuff as they could do now if they walked away

A mate just back thailand and malasya...  lcfc shirts everywhere.

This should be our leverage.

(Nb top owns the club... but KP are implicated)

What do we want?... imo either top gets better advisors or he must go.

So the best protest is to embarass top and kp on social media in thailand.
