I'm in my seventies now and for most of my life I've been used to City being a good Tier 2 side or a poor Tier 1 side.  Then the impossible happened and together with the investment in the club I could see that we had the opportunity to transform into an upper Tier 1 side.  Everything seemed to be in place and the most painful thing for me is to see that lost through mismanagement of the club.  I doubt that any other club has thrown away so much in such a short period of time.  We're in a bad way now and the opportunity we had may well have been lost forever.  Plus there is no sign of the decline stopping.  I fear where we may eventually end up, and even if the club will survive.

Someone on Twitter who is defending King Power/Top with the whole who do they sell it to, who actually buys us, put hope in that over the summer he finally understands how to run us properly and sorts us out

There's no reasoning with them.

 

Like would they ever look at it and wonder why we are likely to go from 1st position in January 2021 to potentially 60th-70th by next August?

He could read ‘Running a Football Club for Dummies’ and he still wouldn’t have a clue how to run a football club. He’s been in charge for 8 years this year, if he hasn’t learnt by now it’s not just suddenly going to click over the summer. Are these people ok?

The sad thing was that during those times we were ran by local businessmen who just couldn't put in the level of investment in for us to really push on.

 

I can't deny that KP have put the money in but since Vichai passed away the decision making has been just so horrific it has to be seen to be be believed. Rudkin who should have been shown the door years ago. 

 

I don't think we are anywhere near rock bottom yet, there's absolutely nothing in place to see where we could attempt to stop the rot and turn this around.

Like you said there’s nothing to suggest that this is going to get better anytime soon and we’ve not hit rock bottom yet ! 
 

The calmness about our situation is astonishing ! 
 

When the end of the season arrives most clubs would have an absolute overhaul and sort out the next plan but we all know that the number 1 priority will be to jet away on holiday back to Thailand as soon as he can leaving the fans with no idea of what’s going to happen next as he always does and yet some fans will still be shocked by it even though he’s done it before

Union FS were first out of the blocks with this. They held up a 'King Power Out' banner, had people physically assault them and within the same week had an entire away end concourse singing against them. 

 

Furthermore, Union FS members were front and centre at both protests, the Foxes Trust publicly backed the protests and the Big Strong Leicester boys also attended both. 

 

It really doesn't matter if more could have been done. It's become very much evident that you, me, BSLBs and UFS are wildly out of step with most of the fanbase. In order for enforce any change, it needs large scale backing. Otherwise, it just looks like exactly what it is, a loud and vocal minority.

What strikes me is, those of us who are fuming at the situation are called entitled.

 

Yet those who say that are the types who just say we will be back etc etc. That to me is entitled. The assumption that it’s all fine and it’ll sort itself out. That is the attitude that is completely lazy, uneducated and entitled.

hardly sounds like a mess if you ask me.

 

McCarron, not too burden him with too much pressure, which I am going too do, is the only shining light we have imo looking at his CV

 

Just because things are bleak, doesn’t mean we should castigate all potentially optimistic changes within the club

 

McCarron could fail miserably but I must say, nothing about his career trajectory suggests he has no hope, I’m clinging on too that

I have a feeling McCaron will be good but Lommel are 29 points behind first and although this summer they made a profit in the transfer market, the previous seasons they've spent heavily (relative for the division). 4th place is slightly below par for them given the backing they have and the size of the club

I wouldn't be surprised  to drop again,if all we're  left with are young untried  kids ,league 1 isn't a good place to learn.It shows in the cup matches, most matches the hardened league 1/2 clubs come out on top .We've  got no "hard" men and people  to get stuck in and we dont want to be rolling over i  league 1.

but I’d hardly describe it a mess like someone else had mentioned.

 

we don’t need false accusations from our own fans about new people coming into the Club with backgrounds that clearly show they have something about them, as McCarron shows. Opinions are one thing but just throwing around factually incorrect statements isn’t helping anyone, especially in times like this.
