This does not excuse it, but a 46 year old saying the same crap is entirely different. Pretty good argument for not lowering the voting age to 16

They just don't get it. Although Ron's first misdemeanour was Ward vs Wolves. Mind boggling.

Not for us though, and we don't know if he's even trained there with the current squad. I get it, I wanted Alves to start too, but it was clear what Ruus wanted out of this game and i wouldn't have had Alves on the bench at the expense of backup for JJ.
AjcW Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Is there anyone at Sheff Utd we might be after long term? Seem to be very pally with them.
Finnegan Posted 13 January Posted 13 January 19 minutes ago, teblin said: All I can think is that Alves is off out on Loan too. Really, really hope so. We massively ****ed up not sending him out on a season long loan. Even if we'd had a manager who wanted to give him some time off the bench, it'd still be better for him to be tearing up League One every week for 38 games or whatever. 2

On a more serious note, Ward was an error, everyone could see it, but I would never expect that a new manager turns up and tells any of the current starting 11 to **** off in the first game. Yes, he should possibly have knocked it on the head after the first game, but then Jakub was the only option was only recently back from injury, so Dropping Hamza for Alves made little sense due to coverage should JJ get injured, however there were other opportunities to stick some of the academy lads on the bench, even in this game, but it is now clear what Ruud wanted to happen with that game and he was right this time, but he (they really) needs to find a way/opportunity to open the pathway up so its obvious to academy players. 1

Ric Flair Posted 13 January Posted 13 January 42 minutes ago, coolhandfox said: You were a Ruud fanboy, you turn quicker than milk. Call it as I see it, he's making some bizarre decisions. Still back him but not going to pretend he's silk kegs right now either. The importance is if he's different to most managers and learns from his mistakes.

Played at emergency right back under RvN already too. NEXT

Would you perfer we just roll over and let teams have our players for nothing? Or deals that are not good for us?

Gazza M Posted 16 January Posted 16 January "Get your bags Hamza, I'll start the car I'm driving you to Sheffield lad."
AKCJ Posted 16 January Posted 16 January I can understand the logic of wanting to hold off until Woyo was done because Hamza is the only other player at the club capable of playing right back but ****ing hell what is the point in keeping him now?
Levi Port Posted 16 January Posted 16 January Rudkins having a danger w*** mid negotiations and still hasn’t come back
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 16 January Posted 16 January I couldn't care less. I've never been impressed with Hamza. Certainly not at the generous salary he's trousered. We were trying to jettison him years ago. Which was the correct call. It's just tragic he's still here. If they take him & his wages away. Happy to accept that. Throw in Ward for free as well.
