I wouldn’t worry, we’re obviously not winning it.

At the start of the season we’d all have seen about 14th as very good progress.   Now we’ve had a good start, it would be great to be top half.  Any more than that would be a massive and unexpected  bonus.

Our fans were probably 50-60pc positive / 40pc negative when you won the league.  The local aspect was outweighed by the fact that you were disrupters and we still hate Tottenham after they cheated us in 1991.

Credit where credit is due. Forest doing well. At least we can agree on the Spurs thing. Leicester fans more depressed by our own situation rather than your rise me thinks

Are people on this thread trying to play forest at their own game?  The 'I don't care game'?

Let me remind you that as a Leicester fan, you have certain duties and responsibilities.  Among them, is to maintain a certain antipathy toward Derby and Forest.

I mean this is page one of the manual ffs.

I’d be happy if anyone outside the usual suspects won the league, even if it’s Forest. It won’t happen imo. They will get European football though.

Don't Care. Best of Luck to Them.

More Concerned Where Our Next Win is Coming From TBH.

Opening day of next season but we'll still be bottom after we get a points deduction from the EFL.

I will enjoy it if they somehow beat Liverpool and genuinely believe they are going to win it only to collapse massively and finish 7th.  A composite of our title winning season and our two seasons falling to 5th combined.

tbh I'm far too irritated by our predicament to be angry about where Forest are in the table. I'd love if they were down here scrapping against relegation with us instead but being at opposite ends makes it much easier to not care as much. I still take joy in them losing (rare as it is this season), and if we were mid-table I'm sure I'd care a lot more.

Don't think they can win the league, I think they're more likely to finish 5th. Them potentially getting CL football is what irks me the most - Europa or Conference League I wouldn't be fussed about. But if they do, at least it would be a breath of fresh air from the Sky Super 6 which is where most of my goodwill towards them comes from. And I'd look forward to them overextending their wage budget and falling afoul of PSR in the coming seasons as they try to maintain that level 😂

The 'initial planning and development' of the stadium is underway. That's the club's own wording from April 2018, at which time Forest were in and around 17th in the Championship. It's obvious we've been overtaken in footballing terms, but regardless of where they end up this season, it's also safe to say they are now in pole position to have the biggest ground in the East Mids. We've well and truly missed out on a golden opportunity.

Exactly where i am at. I would actually be more annoyed if we were mid table as they would be in touching distance. Right now i only care about us surviving and not fussed about anything else. Liverpool are going to win this anyway.

If their manager was a bellend (like Klopp, Arteta etc) I would certainly wish them ill. But Nuno sounds like a decent level-headed bloke and it’s nice to see the Big Six split asunder.

They won’t win the title though. Liverpool are too strong. I kind of hope they stay in the race - but, unlike us, fail to go the distance. That would be very painful for them.

I don't like them.

But coming so soon after our title win, it's good to see any team outside of the traditional elite challenging the established order.

Their owner is a right whopper but fair play to them. They're upsetting the apple cart and hopefully more clubs like Brighton and Bournemouth can do the same (and us again one day!).

The exception, for me, would be Newcastle. They can get in the bin.

In fairness, Nuno is just about the only likeable thing about them.

The players seem pretty unlikeable, the fans are essentially Lee Anderson x 30,000 and the owner is a drug lord.

If they win the league and we go down, that’ll be the worst season I’ve seen.

That happened in 1977-78.   And it was the worst season I've seen.    Be lovely not to repeat it.

*** Edited to say ***

Just a bit more context on the infamous 1977-78 season.

We got knocked out of both Cups by 3rd Division teams.  We set a (then) record low number of goal scored in the top flight, to get relegated with 3 matches to spare.   We were utter crap all season ... apart from one great day away to Hull City in the FA Cup 3rd round.

Forest won the League Cup, reached the FA Cup Quarter Finals, beat us home and away, and won the League with 4 matches to spare.

Depressing doesn't even begin to convey the emotions of that season.

Personally I don't give a fvck. Nothing we can do about it.

We have way more to worry about closer to home.

Crap team.

Pts deduction.

Rudkin.

No Signings yet.

Top.

KP.

Relegation.

Infact everything to do with our club.

I mean it's really not. At all.

All depends what area of Leicestershire you live in. I live in Burbage and couldn't give a toss about Derby/Forest. I'd be happy for Forest if they won the league.

Cov though, can get to fvck.

Also did you vote for Kier Strammer ?

Why not?

They are of no significance in terms of rivalry to me. I like seeing clubs disrupt the Bandwagon Sky 6. It's good for the league, and happy for their fans.

Baffles me fans can't grasp such a simple concept. But if you live closer to Nottingham and therefore have an associated rivalry then fine. Just fed up of fans claiming all fans should think the same.

That's why football is finished there is no culture, fans are happy if there closest rivals win the league.

If we weren’t Leicester fans, a lot of us would be loving what they’ve done this season. Watched them on Monday and they had 7 homegrown (uk, not club) players in the starting lineup.

As it stands, I keep hoping they will self destruct, but it’s not going to happen. Europa league as a minimum, but more likely champions league for them next season.

Why? Pretty much everyone around them has shit the bed for varying periods of time.

You clearly didn't listen to what I said at all.

They're your closest rivals. They're not mine. They're not a lot of others. But there also are a lot of others. Depending on where you live in Leicestershire.

Life is not binary, you know.
