Our spine was world-class that season.

Schmeichel in the form of his life, Huth and Morgan with a telepathic partnership, Kante as the best CDM in the world that season and the aforementioned Mahrez-Vardy partnership. Not to mention the sheer work rate from 1-11.

Forest's world-class players are probably Murillo, Milenkovic and Sels at a push. All defensive. Once teams sit back like they did against us, they won't have enough to unlock them as consistently as we did.

tbf only a few id say would replace that 15/16 team

maybe Aina for Simpson, and Elanga for Sharky

but thats a push imo

dont get me wrong, forest have done incredibly well this season, outstanding in fact, but the sad reality of it for them is, it will probably end without silverware,

i personally dont see much similar to when we won the league, maybe the counter attack style, cant think of much else atm tho

Not many, that's for sure. Even Sharky was criminally underrated for his crossing and dead ball ability.

There's not much to choose between the two at the back, but our title-winning side was on a whole other stratosphere to theirs in terms of attack. I actually think fans outside of Leicester almost forget how good peak Vardy and Mahrez were.

Chelsea are having a slump. Man City have pretty much had theirs. Newcastle fans wanted Howe gone earlier this season. They're all in touching distance of Forest, who are yet to have a wobble.

As soon as they do, it'll only take one or two of them to be on form to pounce.

Man City are still right in theirs. A two goal lead blown and another poor performance. I thought about backing them to win the league at 40/1 the other week and I'm glad I didn't. They're a bust this season. They were crap here as well.

True, but we all know they can put five or six wins on the spin and then all Forest need do is draw one and lose one out of their own five or six and they're in the shit. We know ourselves how brutal it is competing for the top four.

Fingers crossed. I don't think they've turned much of a corner though. They're abysmal defensively, giving up loads of chances. That tonight sums them up. Any other year that's sailing.

I think Man City and Forest have opposite weaknesses. Man City are horrid defensively while Forest don't score enough. It all hinges on how teams set up against Forest and whether Man City can get back to form by just outscoring everyone.

They're on 30 goals from 21 games. We scored 68. No comparison. We get lumbered a lot with a reputation based on how we finished the season. People acted like we were winning 1-0 all year.

Forest are actually on course to score just 3 more than we did in the season we went down. Their attack isn't close. They're a good team and I do think this sadly will act as a platform for them to keep getting better. But they're not Leicester 2015/16. They just aren't.

It’s more or less impossible in the PSR era that they’ll improve. If Newcastle can’t do it, and Villa can’t do it, it’s even less likely that they can. In the next 18 months they’ll likely need to replace Gibbs-White, Murillo, and Wood isn’t going to score like this forever. They’re riding the crest of a wave right now.

I'd agree there. If they're ever going to win anything, it's going to need to be this season or perhaps next. We did it before PSR, meaning we didn't have to sell Mahrez, Vardy or Schmeichel, but we still found it impossible to sustain it. The Rodgers team was almost entirely different and still largely pre-PSR.

Post PSR, it's impossible to sustain it. MGW will almost certainly go in the summer, Murillo won't be far behind and Wood has another year or two of this at best. If they fail to get top four, the fall-off will be faster still.

Need to let this unhealthy forest obsession go. It makes us look like their fans harping on about the 70's/80's. Just dont give them a second thought. You will feel better for it

Have you seen the title of the thread you're posting on? 😂

It really shows the disparity in our recruitment now to under Walsh. Our ex strikers under Walsh are phenomenal, vardy, Kane, wood, kramaric, Leo, Shinji. All outstanding signings even if they didn’t reach the potential with us… it’s still a good eye for talent

I can't believe that so many of us are taking the idea of Forest winning the league as possible, let alone credible.

It feels more like it's done so it's shared on LTLF forum rather than the original poster being serious.

You get a lot of these kind of opinions before we play clubs too. Slate Leicester and lap up how great everyone else is. Even when we were champions or battling for top 4 there was still this weird self hatred on this forum about how crap we've always been.
