I remain outraged by Jon (make it up as I go along as I understand the game beyond the rules as a limited ex-semi-pro) Moss sending Vardy off on a second yellow for a dive following full body contact when the rules were that yellow cards should not be issued if there was contact.

For the 1st booking it wasn’t even a foul. He never connected with the player.

Not a huge impact in the grand scheme of things, but the original Jon Moss incident vs Forest, when Matt Mills was trying to get up off the floor, when a Forest player kicks the ball at point blank range into his hand which was supporting his bodyweight. In the next few minutes Moss gave the pen which was a complete mockery of the handball rule, then booked Kasper for complaining about said disgraceful decision, then sent him off for a second booking for "time wasting" because he kicked the ball to the half way line after it was scored - i.e, returned the ball (which was ours, as it was our kick off) to the place it needed to be, as quickly as possible. Should have never reffed again based on that alone, but went on to have a long and storied career of some of the worst decisions ever seen in games, topped off with his final game as a VAR when he diddled Huddesfield in the play off final, which has directly led to the current horrific situation we find ourselves in, where we allowed Steve Cooper to come in and shit on our season and Forest are at the top end of the table of a league they never deserved to be in in the first place.

Truly a war criminal in the history of the game.

Yep. Came on this thread to say basically this.

A decision in isolation is just that.

In that game in that spell, he single-handedly took it upon himself to fvck us over. No other way of explaining it.

Left the ground that day more angry at a ref than I'd ever been, and have ever been since.

The penalty Atletico got when the foul was outside the box.

Gary Parkers red card against Atletico for taking a quick free kick.

Moss was the absolute worst. Not forgetting him sending Vardy off against West Ham

Given the technology available, the offside not given vs Palace earlier this season was pretty shocking.

There was a clear penalty not given by Keith ****ing Stroud on Fatawu last season vs Millwall that was one of the most ridiculous decisions I've ever seen, but Johnsen vs Chelsea was something else.

Was going to mention the Mateta goal. Absolute shambles that we have the technology and they still can't come to the right decision. I'm still convinced there is corruption within the officials.

There's a lot here that's led to this and that but we can't really complain given how everything fell into place for us the years before.

This thread is daring the Gods of Football to come up with an all-timer during one of our next games  lol

Jon motsons decisions in the west ham game, the year we won the league, were some of the weirdest I’ve ever experienced.

That game genuinely felt like he was trying to derail us. Yet, we did get that last minute penalty so it might just be that he’s absolutely abysmal at reffing.

He was removed after the game from the UEFA list. Martin o’Neil described the game as “the game we could not win” and UEFA agreed.

The fact that he was taken off the list and MON was not charged for his comments. It is the one game that I would say was fixed, there’s lots of examples of crap referring and poor mistakes, but everything about that night was corrupt.

Im sure Remy Harrel was charged years later for other offences not related to that game.

He definitely refereed the next year in the UEFA cup so must have been a season ban.

Not the very worst but De Bruyne in one of our home games v Man City had at least 4 yellow card incidents including a blatant cynical foul on a break away attack, throwing ball away & standing over ball when conceding free kicks and several follow throughs on Kasper after clearances, he just seemed to have a free pass that day. I think the ref wanted his signed shirt for his son perhaps :worship:

I know this isn’t what the poster asked but a decision that went OUR way which I always thought was terrible was in the 5-3 against Man Utd. Rafael On Vardy.

You can't barge people in the back!

I saw him at LFE services a year or so ago, I thought he had a bloody nerve, should've have crossed his legs until he got to Watford Gap.

If you watch it back Vardy gets in front of the defender and it looks to me as though he treads on his foot which means he goes down
