Overrated in what sense? Because he isn't changing games at a club in the bin at the age of 16, getting piecemeal minutes here and there? With Luke Thomas behind him?

He seemingly has the biggest clubs in Europe chasing him, are they all wrong? His potential is clearly huge - only our fans could see massive clubs circling round an academy prospect and not be bothered at the thought of them going or think it's a loss.

He is clearly exceptionally talented on the ball - work rate and physicality etc as you said will come as he is 16!!! It’s a shame that he looks a bit ruined by the environment and must be hard for any 16 year old if you do not have the right role models and discipline around them - he needs confidence but not arrogance and I sense a few of the youngsters have got that.
He may go on to be a superstar but sadly if you were advising him with huge clubs circling he needs an environment to develop - I like you find it baffling fans cannot see that the environment is not developing the youngsters hence judging them is unfair !!

Err hello, he's going to leave, so he's obviously shit, thus over rated.

If he'd come out publicly and said he's never leaving Leicester then he'd be the next Messi.

You can tell from his technique he's got it all.

Provided he's got good people around him and that his next manager will attempt to get something out of him, he'll shine.

Really hoping we can keep him and bring in a manager who believes in him.

He will be long gone before we get a manager.

The lad needs to play championship or league 1 for a season or will just get swallowed up and end up nowhere. Doesn't have to be with us of course although id love for him to stay and see where he is at in a year.

He will only get loaned out anyways if arsenal bought him.

Send him to Celtic next season  so Rodgers can nurture his talent and bring out the best in him

Not even Celtic are stupid enough to hire Rodgers for a third time.

Don't forget, their was once a time when Barca looked at Hamza.

Allegedly (third party engineered bollocks to get a contract imo); but even if that were true, they didn't follow through with their interest, did they?

The clubs going for Monga will. It isn't comparable and this isn't the gotcha you think it is.

Big clubs always keep an eye out for the top talent in each academy.

Hamza was playing very well at his age group. But IIRC that was under 14s football.

Jeremy Monga has come off the bench in Premier League games and shone. There's a world of difference.

Granted he hasn't come off the bench to score hattricks against Man United but he's come off the bench and made Premier League level defenders look daft with his touch, movement and appreciation of space. Any team would love to have the opportunity to mould him into a consistent top 5 league player and maybe beyond.

Feeding frenzy realistically. Any top club in Europe is going to be interested, the chance to get a 20/30/40/50 million pound player ahead of time for a tiny fraction of that fee, why would anyone not be throwing their name in the hat?

Life under King Power continues.

I must admit, I was hoping for more bites than a sensible reply like this..

Can the club put in a sizeable sell on fee if he goes?

We can try and negotiate a compensation package. If the clubs don't come to an agreement though, he can still go and it'll be sorted by tribunal. Until he's 17 he's not a professional and we have basically no leverage.

There's a deal in place for him to turn pro if he's with us when he turns 17, but until that point I'm pretty sure there's no legal way to make him be here until he's 17. If there was, other clubs would have been doing it.

I think this has been covered, I would find it surprising if the impending pro deal agreement can be torn up without mutual agreement but you never know. All I do know is as per previous, players not on a pro deal that intend to leave their club and current scholar contract, they have to notify the club by June of their intention to do so.

On a side note, I am led to believe that there is a payment owed to the club who produce a player through their academy on every future transfer that player is involved with. I researched this and got conflicting info as to whether it only applies to overseas transfers vs domestic.

I meant to reply to you last time you replied to me on here but I must have got distracted lol

I'm absolutely not an expert and have no experience in the field, but I can't find anywhere that says you can legally tie an u17 to a pro contract before they turn 17.

Is that June timeline start of June or end of June? I'd not ready anything about that but that's interesting. My assumption would be end of June in line with the season?

I know there's a general minimum guideline for Cat 1 players going to other Cat 1 academies. I think we'd be in a fairly strong position given what Monga has been promised by the club, but I imagine it's a relative snip of what we could recieve if he is signed as a pro with us.

If it does come to him leaving, I'd fancy a tribunal to get us a better deal than we could manage with Rudkin negotiating haha.

If he goes to Arsenal it could be another Nyoni situation where we get nothing for years. We need to sign him on a professional contract, with the promise of first team football, then we can get decent money for him down the line.

All I have repeatedly heard is its before June, so end of next week.

Curiously it seems widely held the commitment to signing a pro deal is not legally binding if the player were to try and get out of it but it is not straight forward either in football. It's not yet happened from what I gather, so we're bound to be victims of the first at some point 😂

The general gist I've been working under is that any club would need to have him agreed, medical passed and register intention to transfer him to their academy by mid june. If it's by start of June though, even better. Good luck reaching out to anyone at the club before June. I expect it's a ghost town there atm lol

This is where Rudkin ignoring all and sundry contacting him would be most welcome 😂

Did the Nyoni fee ever get settled/confirmed?
