I have to confess that it was probably my fault that he scored as I labelled him a donkey at half time.

I think everyone in the ground did mate.

Can I ask why we've not had Ayew on corners all season? Refreshing to see a player whip them in with pace on it but not his the first man.

He’s absolutely crap don’t worry. Scoring against us hardly changes anything

They were singing his song for him, after he played for them for 6 years and being a cult hero. He tapped his heart. Nothing at all wrong with that for me.

We’d be doing the same after an away win to one of our former players who we have no ill feeling towards.

Maddison did exactly the same thing to our fans and at the end of the game here and walked the length of the pitch. There was no uproar there.

Exactly this.

On his performances, I don’t think he has been used well or in the right position. Should 100% be sharing the strikers duty with Vardy, rather than playing as a winger. He’s not amazing, but who has been? Without him we’d be so much worse off.

For me, he should either be replacing Vardy after 60 mins or then coming on as a second striker. He’s shown that in the middle, he can link up really well and still knows where the goal is, unlike the brainless Daka.

I don’t think I ever want to see Ayew start a game of football for us again.

Unless there is a plan that he is a planned substitution at the hour mark (not sure I’d be happy even then) but the guy can’t run, he walks more than he runs and offers neither a defensive structure or an outlet going forward.

Hated it when we signed him, hate seeing him play for us.

Was ok 1st half but ran out of batteries by 60 minutes. He should’ve been subbed. Despite this he still had more impact after that time than McAteer over on the right. That’s not a compliment.

Thing is, who do you bring on?? Answer is not the dogshit Mavididi who people are thinking is better than he actually is and is on the bench probably because he's not good enough in training or in games.

Ayew did alright first half, I'm not sure he's got the legs for 90 minutes now. The issue is more who comes on for him and keeps the shape. As soon as Ndidi came off today we were cooked.

Wasn't the plan, he would bring premier league experience and be an addition to the squad

Don't think he was supposed to start and be first choice.

Shows how badly the club is run behind the scenes 😥

Problem is he is shit, McAteer is shutter, Mavididi is alright or the shittest of the bunch. Bobby Reid is bang average and is better than the rest of them, someone earlier in another thread said in response to my comment on the squad that it is more of a statement on the rest that he is better off the ball, and was dead right, embarrassing that Reid is currently our only kind of ok winger

i dont hate Ayew at all,

but why is he starting games, getting a full 90 mins?

hes an impact sub at best now, he doesnt offer anything more than say Monga, McAteer, Mav etc does

my mind wonders why hes forever starting

I like to think of it this way, would we get promoted with Ayew and Reid on the wings? 100% not, but we play them in the PL together. We're on a road to nowhere - mid table of the championship

He gets somethings right but like VAR he's sucks the life out of the game with his desire to hold onto the ball for as long as possible and ultimately losing it - is he trying to go for the Guinness Book of records.

Really struggle to see what he offers to justify starting a game and even more so, when in latter stages of games and we have the chance to counter and manipulate transitions. Honestly think both him and BDCR had done their jobs by 55 minutes last night and should have been replaced by Mavididi and Monga or McAteer to hit them with pace on the transitions, honestly believe that game was for the taking and we could and would have scored at least one more.

Played well in first half but needed shipping off after 60-65 minutes as a few above have said.

I think people judge players on their pre-conceived ideas rather than how they actually play in games. Reputation clouds reality.

Another example; Daka is a donkey in front of goal but I actually think his all around play is better than Vardy’s atm & probably should play more.

I see people complain about Soumare when he’s the only one with any character on the ball besides Bilal who can progress it up the pitch. If Ndidi stays fit should take the burden off him defensively.

We’ve got awful options across the park regardless. I think if we somehow stayed up then Ayew has contributed enough big goals and moments.
