Until if/or when there is a reset, can I suggest a competition for the poster with the most appropriate username.

I suggest I prize of several thousand pounds for the winner.

I'm willing to go first.

Who’s got the username ‘Up Shitcreek and No Paddle’?

Previously I’ve not joined in the condemnation of Rudkin for similar reasons  to those expressed (so eloquently) here by Mr. Cliff Ginetta. He is, however, supposed to be a fans representative . Defending individuals just feels like deflection if you’re doing nothing to address or comment on the concerns raised.

To go from the strong position we were in, to the place we now find ourselves, can only be a consequence of systemic failure over time. We have, however, seen no change at Executive Level despite supposedly going through a root and branch review.

Ultimately, I don’t think anybody would give a s**t if Rudkin stays in post if it aligns with better communication with fans and a real demonstrable change in fortunes both on and off the pitch. A defence of the individual just feels a bit easy and lazy without expressing an opinion on the issues the fans are trying to raise. Who are these people actually supposed to represent? The fans or the club?

Another TV game tomorrow, hopefully there's another witty banner for the cameras.

It's the 'be careful what you wish for' brigade that can't see the need for change. I've seen us in Administration, buckets around the ground collecting. It can't get any worse than that!

He's an idiot but none of the supporter groups claim to represent anyone other than their members. Most of their members are probably very much in agreement with him.

The wider "they don't speak for me" argument is so boring, no one is claiming to.

Ok. Wasn’t really the point i was trying to make. CG’s views are no more or less important to me than anyone else’s view I might debate on a forum.

My wider point was whether Rudkin is to blame, or not, has become largely irrelevant. The issues remain either way.

Been thinking a lot about the whole division in the fanbase and how predominantly it’s split by age.  The same could be said for the ‘entitled’ line used by much of the media and non City supporters.

I think stems in the general distrust the British public have of ambition and wanting to succeed. There’s a safeguarding to the previous success as though younger supporters have to suffer us being utter crap before any success can happen. As though Leicester city must play to their yo yo existence. A weird better fan type mentality.

Next season, ten years on, the 15/16 title will be like a haunting ghost. Rather than celebrated, it will become a look at what we were.

If you were 7 or 8 at the time, you are now 17/18 and so forth. If you are mid 20s, youve probably got kids. In that period, we’ve been top flight bar one season. So it’s hardly entitled if you think we should the that regular fixture of the top flight. These kids don’t know the season of League 1 or administration but that doesn’t mean that they should just accept us going back to the second tier.

This club should have been top ten with a 40k stadium by now. The latter pushing the clubs revenues on. The detractors are cutting their nose off to spite their face. They completed football and no one else should enjoy LCFC from since

You present no evidence for this view.

I'm a fan from the 50s.  Am gutted at the decline in the club over the last 4/5 years.  I also believe in continual progress in the club and was very annoyed that some had the attitude that we were achieving above our level and should be grateful for the recent tropies.  I feel we have had such a wasted opportunity.  Hopefully a reset will come about , even if it takes a few years, and we will regain our rightful place in the upper echelons of the game.

I too am a long term supporter and agree with what you say apart from the very end of your quote.

Why do we (or any other club for that matter) have a "rightful place" in the upper echelons of the game?

The Man Utd game would be a great chance for exposure, is there anything in place for it?

No

We've had our partisan moment of the decade....

I did further in another post. Project Reset dismissed as entitled kids and 50 year olds attacking teenagers in the ground on Friday night

And there will be exceptions of course but there's a trend and pattern in existence.

Agreed we don't ... we need to work at it to earn our place.   I went over the top there, but  I was trying to counter those who say we don't deserve anything better because our rightful place is as a yo-yo club and anything else is overreaching ourselves.

EDIT: My bad misread your post deep blue - you are correct.

Important stats to remember for everyone:-

13th biggest average attendance in the country

3rd largest city in the country with a single club

1 club in the county - a catchment area which runs into Northamptonshire / Rutland & Lincolnshire

Important to consider this: when you think Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire have Mansfield, Notts County, Chesterfield, Burton (I know Staffs technically but has cross-county support) in lower leagues, then there’s several National League teams.

Leicestershire next highest ranked club is Harborough in the 7th step. Then it’s Barwell.lol

Theres very few clubs at this level of football with such a clear catchment area.

Genuinely think more protests need to happen.. more protests happen and more the results are batterings the more fans will get on board.

Should be marches and protests outside every home game until change happens.

So get involved and help to organise them. Nobody else is going to do it for you.

Over 50 and an ex-teacher, I fvcking loathe teenagers - especially mine when they were teenagers. And I detest the stupid hipster 20-somethings. Bollocks to your 28 different types of coffee. And I hate the stupid 30s ‘Oh look at me because my testicles work and I had sex and now I’m a dad with a blog and a YouTube channel’. And I hate all the fortyish blokes banging on about their cars and sheds and double weave organic jogging golf. Cvnts. I hate everyone younger than me. And those my age. And everyone older. And women. Entitled pr1cks, the lot of you.

Except Raj. He’s nice.

You sound a lot like me. I hate everyone and everything for absolutely no reason at all.

Need the fans to boycott the stadium but it won't happen as there are too many that think going to the stadium and "supporting the team" is actually helping. The players don't give a fck and there is zero accountability from anyone at the club, so let them play in front of a few thousand away fans I say. Like i said though, unfortunately it will never happen.

The most visual impact we can make and get away with is a white flag wave. Anyone can get a white hanky or similar into the ground. On cue everyone stands and waves it to represent the total surrender of this club, manager and team
