Been thinking a lot about the whole division in the fanbase and how predominantly it’s split by age.  The same could be said for the ‘entitled’ line used by much of the media and non City supporters.

I think stems in the general distrust the British public have of ambition and wanting to succeed. There’s a safeguarding to the previous success as though younger supporters have to suffer us being utter crap before any success can happen. As though Leicester city must play to their yo yo existence. A weird better fan type mentality.

Next season, ten years on, the 15/16 title will be like a haunting ghost. Rather than celebrated, it will become a look at what we were.

If you were 7 or 8 at the time, you are now 17/18 and so forth. If you are mid 20s, youve probably got kids. In that period, we’ve been top flight bar one season. So it’s hardly entitled if you think we should the that regular fixture of the top flight. These kids don’t know the season of League 1 or administration but that doesn’t mean that they should just accept us going back to the second tier.

This club should have been top ten with a 40k stadium by now. The latter pushing the clubs revenues on. The detractors are cutting their nose off to spite their face. They completed football and no one else should enjoy LCFC from since

That's the thing that fvcks me off. Do these people not have kids? Grandkids? Friends who couldn't go to the Cup final?

To paraphrase Cool Runnings, they're going nowhere and they're thrilled to death about it.

Care to explain what you mean by this?

Any danger of reading what he actually posted before you got your back up about "a potentially ageist" post? They explained it well.

General pattern of split between the older generation defensive of the club and younger generation wanting to hold the club to account. Of course there are exceptions.

There’s a notorious poster on here and Twitter commonly referring to ungrateful kids and it was a common criticism of the Project Reset, ‘just kids’. Saw with my own eyes 50 year olds verbally abusing 18/19 year olds on Friday night.

But the main point is that if you are a young adult (and/or a young parent) now you probably didn’t experience the title win in the manner, everyone else did and you have no recollection of Leicester being a yo-yo club. It’s not entitled to think the club can be pushing on to its realistic possibilities. They can’t be ungrateful for something they never ‘received’.

That’s before the whole counter productivity that for the club to succeed it needs to be at its highest playing level to attract more fans, taking away obstacles from the younger generation, building a new stand, continuing the playground being full of Leicester shirts. Ticketing has been a closed shop for a generation of Leicester’s population

I personally don't think it's purely age in the split.

Plenty of us old school ie week in week out 70's 80's fell the same. Probably the older generation that never went to a game until the invention of the prem. Mixed with those that bought in on the back of our new owners.

I must be an exception being in the 'older' group. I thought that I'd seen it all but never 6 consecutive home defeats without scoring a goal. I did the protests in the olden days, Shipman out, Pleat out, Taylor out but currently this is just as important as those. I support any attempt to improve our club even if it upsets the current custodians and Cliffs Supporters Club (I'm a life member but not active).

It's been discussed elsewhere at length about the Leicestrian DNA and acceptance of the ordinary. I've seen in my family the lack of pride and unwillingness to celebrate anything good about our City and county. The grass must always be greener elsewhere. We are the opposite of Yorkshire where they believe everything they have is the best when most of it is shite.

I don't know what goes on in the King Power virtual boardroom's but the club needs a rocket up its virtual arse. Who else will do it if not the fans?

Another huge factor into it

I wonder if some of the division stems from how and where fans get their media. If most of what you read about the club is in the Mercury and in Radio Leicester are you more likely to be in the everything’s fine camp? Where as those on here and other social media are reading multiple points of view and debating/ thinking deeply about what is happening.

The traditional media can’t afford to risk their accreditation by being overly critical of the higher up personnel within the club, therefore some supporters are not exposed to whats happening.

As a 67 year old supporting them since 1968 and attending a handful of games each season since I agree with davieG. It’s the poor decision making and lack of vision that’s killing the club. I’ve not renewed my membership this season and haven’t been. Can’t say I’ve particularly missed it but I still look on here hoping, just hoping, that some forward thinking news might emerge but it very rarely does. So it’s not just an age thing. Older supporters are also looking for positive change and a brighter future too.

Not quite your age but I recall way back to the 80's when the team was often poor but the play seemed more interesting, more engaging, more exciting. Games where you often felt the opposition had much better players but we would still scrap it out, often for a gutsy loss all the same. There were always characters in the side, it feels like we are about to lose our one remaining character.

I have failed to get even slightly excited about the football for the last 4 seasons. It's been like going through the motions awaiting that final whistle for a reason to get on with the rest of your life. I'd rather lose in style than win by boring everyone, including the opposition, to death. 2014-15 gave me some of the most nervous energy I've ever experience in one season, a lived out roller coaster of a season. Leicester City Football Club has been playing itself into obscurity and not many will notice, except for us old enough to have memories of when we excelled at playing badly but it was sometimes exciting, interesting, engaging badness. Its become all so bland, predictable, stale.

I'm glad people are fed up. I've seen us in League One for one season yet I've also seen us finish in the top half of the Premier League on ten occasions. Spending one year in a division is no reason to accept any old shit even at a higher level.

In the last 30 years, we have collected the 13th most points in the top division. We are no fluke or having a decent few years as some fans like to tell us.

Age doesn't matter: if you want regime change you're in the right. It is crystal clear that we require higher standards on and off the pitch. Our personal reasons for demanding change are myriad - unsurprising given the dire and worsening state of almost every aspect of our club.

Until if/or when there is a reset, can I suggest a competition for the poster with the most appropriate username.

I suggest I prize of several thousand pounds for the winner.

I'm willing to go first.

Fallen Foxes seems more appropriate.
