I was a critic of Maresca like many, but my word were we better off.

I know it's a lazy comparison to make but Kompany and Martin both failed because neither showed any pragmatism. 

 

Enzo showed signs of the same problem, last spring.  We'd be right where we are now.

Based on the second half of last season, our limited resources in the summer, the fortunes of sides who went up with us then chose to persist with the would-be Pep football that Enzo favoured, and the fact that we've been rubbish under two different managers since then, I reckon the evidence suggests it wouldn't have been great.

Would have heavily depended on recruitment. But I'm pretty confident he wouldn't have sanctioned £40m being dropped on Skipp, Okoli and Ayew.

I don’t see a mutinee right now, I see 10 confused outfield players. Did you see our shape at times today!?

He knew we didn't have the players to compete, and weren't likely to get them in either. That's why he was off like a shot when Chelsea came calling.

Dependant on injuries imo. We'd be struggling to stay competitive without Ndidi, Hermansen and Fatawu regardless. Recruitment should've been a tad better as he'd have known what he'd needed, the playstyle would've been continued by Maresca through-out the summer instead of being gutted out by Cooper.

 

So I'd think mid-table with Maresca and a good summer.

Impossible to say.  I think we’d have taken a few heavy beatings, but likely would have done better against the teams around us.  I’d have had a lot more confidence in recruitment.

I think we’d have had a strong start and probably slumped again when he got found out and some of the confidence left us. 
 

my guess would be we’d be out of the relegation zone but looking down at it expecting to be caught.

Impossible to know, we would of had a different squad, he wouldn't of prioritised prem experience, players like Skipp, ayew, bdcr wouldn't of been signed.

It’s the summer signings that have killed us, and a stagnant January is making it far worse.

 

Selling KDH for FFP absolutely stunk. We’d be better off keeping him and getting the points deduction.
