It's obviously not all of them that think this, but have to agree some of their fans do seem convinced about it. It's a strange take especially as the city/council has been under Labour majority control since 2007.

I remember Micky Adams saying something after an away draw and was asked the question was he happy with a point.  He answered something along the lines of, 'Why the hell would I be happy with a point when we needed 3?'

 

Need to show the same courage we showed against Spurs and get after them.  They've had a couple of good results but they're still fragile.

Ruud managing with his hands tied behind his back. As the club haven’t brought in reinforcements to help him. I see this as a 1-1 draw.

the idea that Ayew helps his full back is the biggest myth going, he's never in position to help the full back out and doesn't have the effort or ability to get back and help out. It's honestly a big part of why we concede so much down the right, because JJ is so often over exposed due to being sent forward and not having a winger who'll try to get back and support.

Ayew plays to give us an outlet. He’s the only forward we’ve got with an ounce of muscle, and he is there to challenge for the long balls to relieve pressure.

I'm beginning to think it's an advantage in the short-term to have such little progress on transfers in. It means RvN can concentrate on coaching the team and ironing out weaknesses (of which we had many).

Tend to agree. We have so many flaws in our way of playing, focusing on this is no bad thing.

New players won’t help if the tactics remain awful, we won’t learn how/when to press, etc.

Of course, you want upgrades in areas that inhibit the way we play, but both areas need improvements.

Might be one for the unpopular opinion thread but I always thought that Z Cars walk out song from Everton is a really crap little tune isn't it? I feel like people only pretend to like because it's old.

Based on our handing of the Coulibaly transfer, doesn't it take about 10 days to get international clearance sorted?

Win and we are only 3 points behind them after looking like they pulled away we could drag them back in again if only for a week or 2 will make their fans start to panic again.

Ndiaye looks their biggest danger, unfortunately we're reliant upon an absolute cluster fvck to keep him contained.
