There've been a good 10 of these in the last 3 years. This is normal fare at a club with no standards, accountability or to be honest, passion or love.

The Bournemouth at home in the relegation season under the care of P.E. Teachers, it was as if the players had never met each other.

Fulham away soon after, the way they gave up, particularly Tielemans and Soumare, was disgraceful particularly considering what was at stake.

After the game I said to my son “I’m sure there are worse performances if I really wracked my brain to remember, but this is certainly up there with the worst I’ve seen”.

After thinking it through, given the context of the game, how terrible Everton are, and how big the stakes were today… I do think this was the worst performance I’ve ever seen.

Bolton 0-5 and Southampton 0-4 same season, both at Filbert St take some beating.

Huge difference now is that back in those days, the players tried and were just crap, now they don’t even bother.

I’m finding it hard to think of many worse. I’ve seen us lose more heavily than that. But I can’t think of a game where we have competed less. I’ve been watching them for 31 years, home and away, and today was the first time I’ve left early. Ditched it at 70 minutes. Might not seem like a big deal to most but it was for me. Just feel incredibly sad this evening, I’m not sure I’ve got it in me anymore

Quickest goal EVER scored at Everton, quickest goal EVER scored by an Everton player. After that utterly dominated by a reserve striker in Beto who before today had only scored 4 league goals since August 23. You’ve got to say it’s right up there with the very shittest performances when you consider these stats, the importance of the game and the injuries to Everton.

Wolves away 03/04, 4-3 loss after being 3-0 up at halftime. We'll never play worse than that second half.

Yesterday’s first half is worse than that. 1-0 down after 11 seconds it was game over and we all knew it

I should know better, but in my head I was keep it 2-0 before halftime, and if we could get one back…

i was there if it was a cup game? seem to remember it was 7

It was 7-1, we were 7-0 down when Bobby Davison got our consolation and with typical gallows humour we started singing "what's it like to be outclassed?"

Leicester 1 Coventry 3 in 2001 sticks out. Never before had it been so obvious that a team was not even trying. Could have been 6-0 at half-time - 3- 1 was a joke scoreline  (just like Leicester 0 Coventy 3 in the FA Cup in 1998 - but that was the opposite, We completely battered them and they got two late breakaways. The contrast in attitude in those two fixtures was quite something - Taylor era v MON era).

Opening day 2-0 loss to Luton in the Rob Kelly days was pretty bad.

The capitulation in 4-2 defeat to spurs that cost us champions league.

4-1 to Bournemouth (Soyuncu head loss)
